JhinA4M4 DST Posted March 4, 2025 Share Posted March 4, 2025 I believe some Ancient Tab items are underwhelming and have some unreliable mechanics if you take into account that you craft them in one of the most dangerous place in the game. Those are: Thulecite Club, Pick/Axe, The Lazy Forager, The Lazy Explorer and both thulecite armor pieces. (I'm excluding Houndius Shootius as it seems to serve as a decoration rather than a turret.) -Thulecite Club: It's cost of 3 living logs is too much for how unreliable the weapon is. -Reduce the cost of 3 living logs to 2. -Make the shadow tentacles more consistant by making them spawn after every second continuous hit towards the same target. Reduce their damage to 17, reduce their sanity drain to 10/m. Make them continue to attack as long as there is something for them to attack instead of giving them a set time span. (Similar to Ancient Guardian's tentacles.) Limit the amount of tentacles can be spawned to 6. Make them slightly bigger. (For more range.) -Reduce the damage of the weapon from 59,5 to 42,5. -Pick/Axe: The item is cheap, however, it's not effiicient enough to be crafted. It's only purpose is to free the Nightmare Werepig and mine Pure Brilliance. -Increase it's efficiency from %20 to %100. -The Lazy Forager: What it generally does can be done by any character, and cave holes don't have good enough loot for the effort. So the item can be entirely reworked. -The item will have 8 slots, and can't be put inside the inventory. -One of the slots will convert the effects of the chest slot item put inside to The Lazy Forager. (For example; if a Log Suit with %100 durability is put inside the slot, The Lazy Forager will provide %80 damage reduction with 315 HP.) -The Lazy Forager will have 5 days of durability and can be refueled with nightmare fuel for %20 durability. -The Lazy Explorer: The item is unique and useful but it has low durability and is hard to craft. Item is mostly used to get out of danger or during boss fights and rarely for exploring or traveling. -Make it refuelable with nightmare fuel for %25 durability. -Lower the sanity loss from 15 to 5. -Thulecite Suit: The item's sanity boost isn't something useful in combat, so it is only used for it's raw damage reduction and durability. -Give it knockback immunity. -Make it give wearer %25 damage reduction. -Remove the sanity boost. -Thulecite Crown: The item's shield is unreliable. -Make the shield activate every time the wearer gets hit. -Make the shield last for 5 seconds, and have a 6 seconds of cooldown. (Cooldown will start as soon as shield gets activated.) -Make shield's duration get lowered by 0,02 seconds for every 1 point of damage absorbed by the shield. (50 damage absorbed will lower the duration by 1 second, this makes the shield have a total HP of 250.)
