Activates and deactivates special events as the game progresses:

  • Winter's feast happens for a few days every winter; Hallow's Eve on every autum, and Summer Cawnival every summer (and it's quite a pain to enjoy it when EVERYTHING IS BURNING AROUND YOU all the time but oh well- ).
  • It's always Year of Something; it cycles the available years on the second new moon after beginning of winter and stays active until the next one.
  • Little fanfarres at each beginning (except Cawnival; I couldn't find a suitable one yet, open to suggestions)
  • Code for snow at beginning of Winter's Feast is still a little dodgy, I'm still trying to figure out how to make *sure* it snows rather than rains.

Steam Workshop (where else do you guys share these? :wilson_smile:)

 

My first mod. I had this idea a couple years ago, got a first version to work quickly, then promptly realized I didn't understand the client/server distinction and, therefore, it didn't *really* work. I thern learned about net_vars, but still couldn't get it to work, gave up on it, then a year later came upon this:

 

...and it finally clicked.
