Brightshades should spawn near the Lunar Rift instead of player-planted crops

Recommended Posts

It's cool by itself, but gets boring after a while especially after your base is already chock full with bs husk. And then the brightshade becomes nothing but an annoyance especially for those who enjoy farming. Farming is already made obsolete by these banana bushes and stone fruits and stuff...

There should be a way to at least attract them somewhere, or something that creates a protective zone that inhibits bs infestation. It could be expensive, requiring an enlightened shard or sth to not trivialize this threat too early

There is already a way to make a protective zone, they themselves prevent other brightshades from spawning.

Got this picture from Lakhnish Monster's video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GzpgIz_TY5E This video has a lot of information about brightshades if you are interested.

It’s an “end game” weather effect triggered after defeating a major boss, that isn’t even anywhere near as difficult as the seasons of the shipwrecked and hamlet dlc expansions.

If you want my honest opinion… lunar hail should be raining glass shards out the sky damaging all mobs caught up in it until it forced them to mutate into nastier or unfriendly variants.

Kinda like how “Shattered Spiders” kinda just Imply that Moon Glass impaled their bodies and mutated them..?

As the weather effect stands right now, it doesn’t even damage butterflies.. and only harms the player because that is what the “games forums of fans” rage cried for…

Silly rain from sky go Bonk! *yawn*
Seriously…? And this is supposed to compare to hamlets strong winds blowing my resources clean off the side of the map to disappear forever???

i dont think this can work like every time, base must be build very spesific to get all your plants protected from just 1 of them wich is stupid

It is a headache to make a mega base with deadly brightshades but in the long term its actually a challenge for me considering how I can control where brightshades will spawn. Killing deadly brightshades isnt a daily task for me anymore, I just farm them whenever I want to. After that its really easy for me to farm my farm crops and berry bushes. My grass comes from my 24 grass geckos inside a pen. twigs from twiggy tress. Im still thinking if whether or not brightshades will spawn on waxed crops then ill think if I will use it for base design or not
