Sisturn 3 should be buffed, split and moved into affinity line

Recommended Posts

As title. Currently only lunar flowers provides a special effect which is not always useful, and shadow provide nothing. Shadow flowers should be given a special effect to respond to lunar flower, and the whole skill should be moved to affinity line for it'd be weird for a shadow abigail benefit from lunar power.

For example, make lunar flower provide 50% defense instead of player tag and keep the healing nerf, shadow flowers provide some extra damage or buffs vex. This also follows the "lunar for defend, shadow for attack" idea which is seen in the planar armors.

yea, i think the playertag is a bad idea because its inconsistend and has very varied effectiveness, keeping the healing debuff or keeping it at 50% is a bit icky still because it means throughout a fight she doesnt gain many benefits form the reduced damage, some but not much, but if it also gives additional buffs ontop of all this it could be better, I would suggest either reduce the damage reduction from 50 to lets say 30 or so % and remove healing debuff entirely, or go with 50% damage reduction and make the healing debuff less strong. Or if you wanna go the defense route, say heck, 50% or so damage reduction no healing debuff, but her damage to be alot lower than shadow.

To move the Sisturn line into affinities of Wendy is good idea. Wendy's affinity I and II of current one should be merge, and the Sisturn III effect should be divided into both affinity and the shadow one should have extra effect for evil flowers.

It wouldn't be terrible to integrate them together but its sort of a little late for it now.
If we were lucky its part of kleis hidden thursday plans but we will never know till thursday rolls around.

I wouldn't say give up hope the beta release just means a bigger audience will see it and there's possibility for more adjustments

In fuct, I really hope this will be the trigger for other characters' skill trees to receive continuous buffs and adjustments as well.

Today there are fewer parts of Woodie's skill tree that haven't been affected by power creep! Come on!

I really hope defense for Abby isn’t locked behind affinities. I got the impression that Klei wanted to smooth out some of Wendy’s boss fighting learning curve and Blessed Sisturn III (as rough as the skill is) is supposed to help with that. It would suck if the intermediate players who could benefit most from the skill are locked out of it.

I mean woodies still pretty excellent even if quicker picker was always just ok, quite literally a buffer for when you ran out of things you were interested in.

Given well, fuelweaver might be able to beat your moose but can he beat your 32 treeguards.

I would still love to fold quicker picker into one skill, have a skill for throwing lucy to gather resources off the floor using his old forge animations, then another wood carving to make up for the missing skillpoint.
But like, in old updates pre-skill tree we saw small changes get added in unrelated updates (I'm pretty sure wortox's map teleport was just added randomly in another unrelated update.)

But like, I have no complaints given how cheesable woodies skills can be in general. There are some things he can get done in on like day that take a little more then a week of prep and exploration for other characters.

Not exactly maybe. I see Klei "have to do" this because people asked for it. At the same time, Klei is "reluctant to do" it because Klei think "Wendy is welcomed enough, no more 'strong' (useful) thing needed here".

See reference -

1. the Ghastly elixir is inconvenient to use, unwelcomed by both inexperienced players and veterans.

2. Lunar Abby won't encourage you to manage her because you won't got benefit by managing her. But you still have to manage her or she would still die. Not much better than regular one.

Well, Yeah, Woodie still isn't outdated, he is still my main...

But I want Skills you mentioned Lucy, Gather, and Carving too, and besides that, I consider about Winona's Enrichment Strike has the ability to not destroy buildings than Tail Slam, and Walter's Twine Twirler has the ability to craft quickly than Woodworker... I'm so... frustrating! UGHHHH! GWAAHHH! (cry)

Yeah thats true, my theory is that they have some big changes for Wendy and Wortox planned for the beta release, but rather than throwing it all on these past patches they wanted to give the spotlight to Walter for a while so more people could see his "cool new stuff" and he wouldn't get outshined by the characters with larger playerbase.
