Veklad Posted February 24, 2025 Share Posted February 24, 2025 Hi, I have a problem in my current game, I can't find the ink blights, I've already completed all the necessary steps (kill the AF, activate the rifts through Charlie's event and wait 5 days). I understand that as long as a rift is active the ink blights should appear in the first Dreadstone Outcrop I find, but I've already mined about 5 and the boss doesn't appear, does anyone have any idea what's going on? somethin Posted February 24, 2025 Share Posted February 24, 2025 Are you sure you don't just miss rictus? Three of them can spawn in place of the trio and is invisible until hit by aoe or traps. No, is random. You might get the ink trio or the trio of snakes. Most likely you are getting the snakes which they appear in the form of a mouth (like the chesire cat from alice in wonderland) few seconds after you approach a dreadstone crop. You need something to hit them while invisible like an aoe atack like the brightshade bomb, making them bite spiky hutch, getting hit when you wear brightshade armor/wormwood's armor, stepping on tooth trap, using the brightshade staff on hutch so the projectile bounces on them, etc You post is one of the proofs of why their implementation is so bland and wrong... a missed opportunity of having a new cool encounter wasted to create a missleading mechanic that only is experienced in a very specific optional scenario that also negatively affects the ink trio encounter Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/164385-i-cant-find-the-ink-blights/#findComment-1801098 Share on other sites More sharing options...
Veklad Posted February 24, 2025 Author Share Posted February 24, 2025 Oh okay thanks, so near any Dreadstone Outcrop I find (not just the first one), there will be an optional encounter for either the ink trio or the snake? And you're right, it seems like a wasted opportunity to me, I love the game but the truth is there are a lot of super tedious things that I would like to see removed, not because it's difficult and I want it to be more casual, but because they're just not fun and create an unnecessary wall to access certain content.
