Let Hard headed Worker Woby Pick up Grass and stuff?

Recommended Posts

Yeah Helping Horns is actually pretty useful for speeding work up. Also lets you pull off some fun stealth stuff in the ruins. If it was better, it would mean Walter would be competing with the actual resource-gatherers of the game, which isn't his thing.

Its purpouse would to be to help him gather materials while exploring the map if he makes the choice to go on foot by sarcaficing speed for resources.

I mean mounts are already the fastest way to gather grass and twigs if you aren't gathering a dense field you planted yourself, especially if you find the badlands.

This would probably make less of a difference than you would think aside from one edge case I've beat to death at this point (AKA Beefalo being perfectly supported by support woby.)
(If we did do it though something to help quicker picker feel fun still would be great.)

I found hard headed to be really handy tbh

It's really hard to come by things that help you mine, but you generally need to chop far more than you need to mine, and when you need to chop, you can just hire pigs or recruit bearger

Great point. I still think it's a good skill for the early game though

I feel like it fits the hard headed one more, hard headed feels the weakest of the 4 skills.

I would be MUCH more inclined to pick this skill if I could issue a command for Woby to chop and mine through the command wheel, because then I would be able to entirely abandon the concept of tools.

In other posts I have noted that Wurt and Maxwell feel very similar to me, but notably Maxwell doesn't have to pack tools in order to get work done. With Walter, I find myself saying that if I'm going to have to pack an axe or a pickaxe regardless of Woby's help, I might as well complete the entire job myself and save a skill point.

The chore of having to use a tool as Wurt is forgivable, because the Wurt merm brigade is so very much better at chopping and mining than just you. Comparatively, Woby mines and chops slower than you.
