Walrusst
So a common bit of walter feedback is slowdown stackings a bit strong. One common cause of this is the heavy long duration slows have a extremely cheap companion slow that can be used for the shutdown of targets. So I propose a compromise that makes it so slow stackings not as cheap as it was before, that only really takes a slight recoloring of honey ammo. Slurtle rounds. By having this instead of honey, we make it so you now need icher and gems to slow stack, making the combo more restrictive and costly, but what do we get? Instead of slowing the target, slurtle rounds make a target wet, stoking fires on enemies who are burning, and giving short damage bonuses on targets which are burning. (Its wetness effect being lost quickly while targets burn.) This increases the cost of one of walters strongest combos without eliminating it for people who want to pay the new, higher cost while giving him synergy with interesting items (Shock rounds, morning star, fire staff, explosives,) and giving him teamplay with other people that would be appreciated (Warly/Wigfrid/Willow.) It also plays off a bit of walter trivia where he is unusually good at gathering a certain resource, the slime. Gashzer
I'll only support this idea if slurtle slime soaked mobs exploded for extra damage after being lit on fire or hit with a gunpowder round Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/164127-honey-rounds-slurtle-slime-rounds/#findComment-1797821 Share on other sites
Walrusst
The burning damage bonus could be a boom, I just left it out in my draft because I wasn't sure if it would be the wisest. Still a gunpowder round synergy would be funny/incredible and that part I actually hadn't thought about. There was a lot I wanted to say here, like how this technically makes the people who were demanding melee walter now have a possible foundation for their strategy, as the morning star being reliable on him enables that.
