datfloppy
Got bored. Tried my hand at finagling an concept for a tweak of Wendy's skill tree. To be transparent I don't play the character that often, but I had some time and some ideas so I ran with it. Im not really that personally attached to these ideas, so if something's game breakingly stupid Id love to know. There's an attempt to render the skill tree with text above, and then actual text explanations below. yada yada yada enjoy. (unlocked after putting 12 after spending a combined 12 points on 'those who passed on' and 'those who stayed') (and the usual prerequisites) Lunar sisterhood I, II, III Shadow sisterhood I, II, III /This path is called 'Those who passed on'\ (path split)/-> Pipspook quest I -> Pipspook quest II -> Pipspook quest III -> \(path merge) Vengeful ghost. -> (after 7 points in 'those who passed on') Their grave mistake (path split)\-> Grave beautification -> Gravestones by Wendy -> The big one -> /(path merge) \end path/ Sisterly bond I -> Sisterly bond II -> Sisterly bond III /These three together count as 'those who stayed'\ Blessed sisturn I -> Blessed sisturn II -> Blessed sisturn III -> Blessed? sisturn (only one of the 'those who stayed' t4s can be active at a time) Bigger Brew I -> Bigger Brew II -> Bigger Brew III -> BOGO Brew (only one of the 'those who stayed' t4s can be active at a time) Team Spirit I -> Team Spirit II \end area/paths (?)/ So, to explain everything. Done of order of top to bottom Nerfs and buffs [nerf] Abigail now does 10 less damage at night (curve now is 10 day, 20 evening, 30 night) [buff] Pipspooks now on average generate more morning glory. (give one more when they find all their toys, and find ~1 more toy on average) Lunar 1,2, & 3: 1. Abigail gains the ability to become headgear. That is to say an item that can be equip in the headgear slot. She must be transformed (crafted) while near a sisturn with lunar blossoms at night. Can be transformed (crafted) back into normal Abigail at a sisturn with normal flowers during the day. While equipped: Abigail will automatically attack for 20 dps (unaffected by time of day) at the target you are attacking. (AND ONLY THAT TARGET) She cannot get physically damaged in this state but you still can :). If you dont attack a target for 4 seconds, she stops attacking. (She still applies vex) If you are attacked during those 4 seconds, she will block 60% of the damage. She regens as normal and you get her shield. 2. Make a (SUPER) elixir that boost planar damage and defense by 10 (same recipe as previous) 3. Physical damage (the 20 dps) now scales over 4 seconds to 40 dps (IE 5 damage a hit) if Abigail is continuously hitting the same target. She also now blocks 80% of damage taken while she is attacking. Shadow 1,2, & 3 1. Abigail becomes EVIL (shadow Abigail). 25% more speed. Just like her moon variant, her damage is no longer effected by the time of day, and now has a base of 30 physical and 10 planar damage per second. Abigail's flower becomes Abigail's rose (purely visual). Transformed (crafted) by a sisturn with evil flowers at night. Can be transformed (crafted) back into normal Abigail at a sisturn with normal flowers during the day. 2. Make a (SUPER) elixir that slightly increases vex all around. 1.5 sec duration -> 3 sec duration, 1.4x -> 1.5x personal dmg mult, 1.1 -> 1.2x dmg mult for everybody else. (I know this went bad last time but its a cool idea) 3. Abigail takes half damage. (This is damage RESISTANCE, like weremoose and Wigfrid, so applies after everything else in calculations) Pipspook quest 1, 2, & 3: 1 is unaffected. 2 & 3 get swapped, so pipspook quest 2 now generates 2 mourning glory for each lost toy found, but as as attempt to flatten out the curve, no longer gives +2 mourning glory at the end. The new pipspook quest 3 receives no changes. Their grave mistake: Allows you to spend morning glory to ally ghosts, like you would pigmen. Allied ghosts will attack anything Abigail does. These ghost are no longer hostile to allies. Their attack power decreases with each allied ghost. ( something like (.9^(no. ghost ally-1))*attk = dmg done (idk its not my job)) Can be given elixirs (but not super ones). 300 hp. Same damage as Abigail. The big one (not a great name) Grants you the ability to craft an elixir that makes your ghosts gain planar defense. Plain(ar) and simple. Sisterly bond 1,2, & 3: Each tier of sisterly bond increases your ghosts (physical) damage by 10%. multiplicative so its not 1.1 + 1.1 + 1.1 = 1.3 . its 1.1 * 1.1 * 1.1 = ~1.33 (so nighttime Abby is back to full damage, while daytime and evening do more damage than before.) Blessed sisturn 1,2, & 3: 1 & 2 stay the same, longer lasting flowers and reduced sanity reduction are just good. 3: The sisturn now has a 6 tile large sanity aura. the sanity it gives is independent of the sisturn's already existant sanity aura. needs flowers to function. this skill gives 3 sanity p/m at the closest and 1 sanity per minute at the furthest. (a random skill I know, but I felt something needed to plug the spot) Blessed? sisturn : Sisturn full of lune tree blossoms gives Abby +5 planar defense. Sisturn full of evil flowers gives Abby +5 planar attack. Bigger Brew 1,2, & 3: Each bigger brew increases elixir duration by 1.34x, alongside its listed effect. 1. Unlocks the potion bag. 2. Healing potions heal 1.5x as much. 3. 50% chance to get 1 bonus elixir when crafting elixir. BOGO brew Can apply 2 elixirs to the same ghost. The second elixir only has 1/2 duration. Team spirit 1, & 2: 1. Gains the commands: Escape & Haunt. 2. Gains the commands: Scare & Attack At. The whole point I was trying to go for was to have (atleast) three viable (ish) playstyles Shadow Abigail Shadow Abby was meant to be the easiest to work with. She feels like a stronger version of Abigail. And she is, but that really only seemed possible if I nerfed her a little bit to give headway for more interesting changes. The stronger Debuff is meant to be the main pull here for the people crunching numbers. Moon Abigail The perpetual 80%-100% armor may be a bit strong, but if you think about it, that just makes you discount Wigfrid. Keeping Abigail weaker, while allowing her to transform much easier (in my eyes) fixes the issue of the the balance of gestalt Abby. Gestalt Abby should either be a full time commitment of barely one at at all, anywhere else feels odd. And Ghostmaxxing Maxing out all 5 ghosts merits you a dps of ~150, which is pretty nice. As a counterexample, with the kings trident skill (on Wurt), each loyal merm gaurd deals ~20.5 dps, which is only ~5.5 less than that of the ghosts (~26.25 dps ). But than again its AoE, so who knows at this point. This was a joy to write, but its probably not going to be a joy to read lmao. Apologies in advance for the massacre on the eyes.
