Insulated pack small buff and logic

Recommended Posts

Once, while wandering in the caves, I came across a lone bunnyman. In my insulated pack, I had some meat dishes, and the bunnyman smelled them and started attacking. I think this doesn’t make sense, as the backpack works similarly to a real-life insulated delivery bag. In such bags, food doesn’t cool down or unfreeze due to the high level of insulation from the external environment, which means air and smells cannot enter or exit. Logically, mobs that can detect food in the inventory shouldn’t be able to smell food in an insulated pack. For example, bunnymen wouldn’t become hostile toward meat-eaters, and moleworms and beargers wouldn’t knock meat or honey out of the pack. This is a small but significant buff that many players in Don’t Starve have been missing, and I’m almost certain it would please many Wigfrid mains.
