Is Woby finally a good alternative to a beefalo?

After all the changes, I was curious where people stand with the Woby versus beefalo debate, since I know that's the issue a lot of people had with Woby

Yeah they both have their strong points now and you can even build Woby to exist alongside a beefalo of you want both now.

If you're looking for extra safety: Beefalo all the way

If speed and mobility is your thing: Woby for sure

I feel quite comfortable using just Woby now. Both have their pros, but I am addicted to the dash now, lol.

Woby didn't get too many straight upgrades that put her over beefalo--in fact, I think all of the stuff that tried to mimic beefalo got scrapped except for the increased speed--but she's way cheaper and easier to use now, which was one of her big problems, and she's just way faster. Beefalo still have their place as tanks, but I don't think too many Walters will be going for them.

Also makes dodging knockdown bosses alot easier.

Honestly, I'm really impressed by how they chose to make Woby a viable sidegrade. I honestly didn't think it would be possible, but it really does feel like Woby is at the point where relying on a beefalo as walter is nowhere near necessary unless you absolutely need the versatility

Moving away from making Woby like a beefalo and instead giving her her own strengths over beefalo was absolutely the right move

Woby's superior for mobility if you invest the right perks. Beefalo are superior for combat. Woby being a better option for transportation and having the ability to dash/teleport makes her support Walter's unique playstyle more, which makes him more appealing to play. Bravo, devs.

I played for 7 hours and didnt saw the time flows

Sprinting with Woby is so satisfying. The animation is cool and Shadow Step is also nice. Im looking foward some lil tweaks to make it more intuitive to play with the comands but thats a matter of time cuz Klei already working with the feedbacks I bet.

But Woby alone from day 1 having this much of possibilites make me not bother to work with beefalo anymore. Its a lotta effort to get a bonus of endurance. Woby reinforces the slingshot playstyle as well which Im looking foward cuz variety = good. 

It feels right now. Like it works.

On a beefalo you get an infinite weapon + 1000hp buffer that gets good heals from foods
Woby you get a cool dodge and are fast, but eats up hunger. Also, still can definetly get thrown off Woby and proceed to have to scramble to get on her again.

I'd say equally strong. Beefalo take time and are consistent as well as take damage for you. Woby may be nearly instantly obtainable, but you're still the one getting hit if you can't dodge properly.

also, cool dog finally has her own special skillset that makes her different than beefalo, it's beautiful.
