As far as I personally care (as in, my own personal view, that you are by no means obligated to share), I paid money to play the game in the state it was in at the moment I bought it. Everything that came afterwards to me is just a bonus. I didn't even know DST was actively updated when I bought it, in fact. I just bought it because a friend told me it was a fun game, and I believed my friend.

So... I understand your point of the updates being part of what you paid for when you bought the game, but I disagree with your overall argument there... Just different points of view on the matter though. I think your viewpoint is pretty valid.

Today, I came across this post by chance, and to be honest, I was moved by it.

I want to share it here to express my stance and thoughts on what Klei is doing nowadays. I don't mind if this post receives the same treatment as that post, because it would only further prove that post is right. The Klei forums (or at least the DST section) are no longer a place for exchanging ideas to make the game better. Instead, they've become a place where people are only supposed to let Klei hear how much they appreciate that Klei is working today. No matter how unpalatable the dishes Klei serves, people are expected to smile and offer praise, or at most, complain just enough to get by. After all, the complaints will be dismissed as "meaningless nonsense," while the praise is what Klei wants to see. In any case, good night.

I hope Klei won't continue to indulge in sweet daydreams tomorrow, but perhaps that's just a luxury to hope for.
