Alarming Pointer: a new (and old) combat variation for Wanda

Hello Klei Team!
My name is Gabriel. I'm Brazilian, and a big fan of the game Don't Starve, I believe I've known the game for about 10 years, and since then, it has conquered a corner in my heart.
After playing Vanilla for a while, I went to play Together, and one of the characters I played the most among my 2,000 hours of gameplay was Wanda. Her teleportation mechanics are incredible! However, Wanda has a big advantage that can make her combat unbalanced.
I'm not referring to the damage, but rather her weapon, the Alarming Clock. I understand that Wanda's safety is important due to her fragility in her old age, however, some fights can lose the complete challenge that they bring to the characters in general, and when changing them in the Portal or starting another world, we have to adapt to the fighting without the range of the Alarming Clock to protect us. A good example is the Celestial Champion's fight, where he doesn't land any hits from his melee attacks in any of the phases, including the first one where he stomps the ground. In other words: Wanda may be a little unbalanced at this point.
That's why I came to bring a suggestion! A weapon variation for Wanda, for players who prefer standard combat with the normal range of weapons: The Alarming Pointer!
The Alarming Pointer (or Shadow Pointer, or Dark Pointer... these are just suggestions) would be a weapon similar to the Alarming Clock, rechargeable with Nightmare Fuel, with the difference of having the same range as a normal weapon. My idea would be to just match the combat experience, and I don't know what the Alarming Pointer's damage would be like. I think you would know better how to adjust the damage.

Attached is an example image of some clock hands in a more gothic/Victorian style, and I believe it would match the style of the game and look very beautiful too.
