WarspiteOUO Posted January 26, 2025 Share Posted January 26, 2025 This has always been one of my favourite chapters because of how adorable mothballs are, and the quirkiness of enigmox as a boss. I do think the SF version of this region still leans towards being rather easy with them pulling back on the amount of enemies appearing in a recent beta patch, and the extra help that spores often provides you on this map. Blisterbane is mostly a swarming map that has quite a lot of enemy spawns(tho not as much as of right now in beta), and most of the encounters are made significantly easier with charge powers. I think it could be better if they pull back some of the changes made to enemy spawn rates on the second half of an SF hunt if they want this hunt to remain decently challenging post the miniboss encounter. Imbued Enigmox is also comparatively easy compared to the Imbued Owlitzer(tho I suppose that has always been the case?), or in some cases Imbued Mother Treek as well. I really like the extra mechanics they added to her but why does she still only has 1 extra clone in multiplayer? I feel like she should have 2 extra clones when doing 3/4 players or else she really is just a standing target for the other players who aren't being targeted to hit/shoot at. Most of the time Enigmox also ends up being the only threat in the room, which would work with MTreek and Owl with their large AoE attacks, but Enigmox doesn't really have that either. The proposed changes to give her extra clones would give her more threat to all players, but also I wouldn't mind seeing more interactions between her and the pillars. As a major part of her identity the pillars seems to have always benefited the hunters more than Enigmox herself, namely powers and armor skills that work on breaking environments, and the mothballs that spawns from it stacking multiple chain reactions. I think maybe these pillars could spawn sporadically during her normal phase fight and she would insta-break these pillars to release some explosion/shockwave attacks? Pillars could also use more health to make it more difficult for hunters to trigger powers/armor skills off them. Overall I really like the aesthetics, animations and quirkiness they've given to Imbued Enigmox, and these would be some of my thoughts on making her fight more challenging if they wish to do that.
