WeWoWa
There are many issues with Wendy's skill tree (Vengeful Ghost, Mourning Glory section, Pipspook Quests) and several other aspects, such as Blessed Sisturn, Gestalt Abi, and more, which could use some improvements. However, in this post, I wanted to focus on one thing I haven't seen anyone else mention: obtaining Lune Tree Blossoms for the Blessed Sisturn and broken shells for the Spirit Vessel. I'm not particularly fond of the idea of forcing Wendy players to go out onto the ocean in the early days, as I typically venture there much later. In the attached screenshot, you can see the highlighted text from the update, where the developers mentioned that Wendy is supposed to have a special quest for Lune Tree Blossoms. This is a good solution, but I'm wondering if it is still relevant? It would be great if Wendy, while completing quests and gathering Mourning Glory, could also obtain Lune Tree Blossoms and broken shells, as this would definitely help players who don't want to venture out onto the ocean. Grove
Broken shells can be obtained through snurtle, slurtles, and their mounds, so those aren't ocean based. That's how you originally got them in the first place. Giving the iten durability could work ig. But the grave skilld are less about being able to relocate graves for mourning glory, or getting nightmare fuel evil flowers, and more of getting a small ghost army at this point. Imo, since player tag costs 3 insight, isn't as busted as before, and weakens Abby outside of boss combat, it would be nice if it was changed to evil flowers while lune tree blossoms was how you got gestalt Abby. You right click on a sisturn filled with them and transform Abby. Then replace it with evil flowers if you want player tag. But both materials are easily gotten through pearl's island Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/163432-lune-tree-blossoms/#findComment-1789651 Share on other sites
Steorra
I have to clarify one thing - the similar discussion was happened before in fact. You might find different players from both sides has got some compromise here. But Klei has simply ignored those friendly discussions and compromises. And I guess this could be a reason that why player bases become more divided after the newest update. If you catch a few of the moths from chopping the medium or large lune trees, you're set forever as you can replant near your base and the lune blossoms last 12 days in the Sisturn. I hope they don't remove Wendy's special quests, they were fun. I assume this is really to remove it so speedrunners don't have to lose some seconds in their runs lol. Yea, It's pretty weird that no one acknowledges the crabby hermit. I also like the special quests, even making the moon dial is fun. And so was making the shroud in the early days of the beta with evil flowers. Time would probably still be wasted if player tag was changed to need evil flowers. As sometimes you gotta rmeove it and sometimes you gotta put it back. I wouldn't be suprised if that's the intent, if what guile (I butchered the name prob) says is true Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/163432-lune-tree-blossoms/#findComment-1789666 Share on other sites

I thought these small quests were fun as well with my playthrough and kinda incentivised Wendy players to venture out. Sorta like the Wortox tree whereas in the early days you're heavily incentivised to venture out and try to find Pearl's Bottles even though the rng can be rough. I used to not care for the grave skills. But now they're fundamental to me just because of how they work now. DaDa_waw
I hope she will have some other things when collecting mourning glory, such as petals Forget-Me-Lots、 Ruby and the like, this is the feeling I gained recently while experiencing Winona, which I think has an excellent skill tree design. This can encourage players to complete these tasks, as it can provide items needed for other places or their own abilities. As for the fragments and moon flowers, I actually hope they are still in their original positions. Personally, I like to let general resources be used more for personal purposes. These materials used to have no presence, but if the rewards for abilities are excellent enough, they can drive these obscure items to be valued again.
