BrawleyDST
I thought there weren't going to be any more changes before release of the skill update, but now that I know walter is yet to be finished I have one suggestion. Walter should be able to make marshmallows as a skill. One (or two?) honey, one twig makes a new dirt cheap sanity dish: a marshmallow on a stick. There's no other known way of making sugary food and Walter's built in allergies make honey collection somewhat of a hazard to do himself so it's not totally free. If you equip the stick, you can right click the item while held to dismantle it into a twig and an uncooked marshmallow that restores almost nothing. This is a waste. What you'll ACTUALLY want to do is equip it and stand close to a fire source. The marshmallow will cook over time based on distance to fire and how much fuel it has/intensity. Any character can do this as long as Walter gives them the item. The marshmallow has several stages of doneness ranging from initial uncooked to burnt crispy. Each form grants increased sanity from the last until it overcooks, which goes back to zero sanity gain and potentially a loss. The other stats don't increase much if at all, and once cooked, the spoil timer won't last very long at all. This is an eat-on-the-spot type of dish, as well as ideally being crafted on the spot because equippable items don't tend to stack often. It's probably still too late to suggest this, but I wasn't on the forums till recently. I still think this would be both helpful and true to his backstory as a camping expert. His role already seems to partially be about supporting other characters sanity via the cheap tent and campfire tales, I think it would fit his niche as well as being a temporary solution if his own sanity starts declining from injuries.
