Disappointed; game needs more work

I'm just disappointed that issues related to the game as a whole, at least on console, aren't really being addressed. When they are addressed, they're untested and incredibly half-assed.

I'll be playing and having a fun, then something like the video I'm about to post happens. Or I spend 10 hours trying to beat FW without a weather pain (because I'm stubborn) because the targeting keeps ******* me over even though I'm doing everything right.


The targeting is abysmal on console.

1. In ruins, you're constantly smacking locking onto walls when trying to fight clockwork or nightmares.
2. Switch target is useless.
3. Against Bee Queen you can never correctly target BQ or Grumbles when need be.
4. Against AFW you're incapable of targeting woven anywhere near AFW, making it impossible to practically fight him without some AoE option or hours upon hours of rolling back.
5. Rolling back causes you to lose about 1/8th the day or more. The game should auto pause when rolling back or loading.
6. If rolling back in caves, you might lose 1/4th the day if others are on the surface.
7. For beefalo riders, it's a constant source of frustration how the beefalo is so easy to accidentally target and hit, and it chasing you so far and wanting to stand near you doesn't help.
8. When training a beefalo, if you get bucked while picking something, you must move very far away to target the beefalo in order to feed it. Same happens when fighting, standing near chester, etc. It can be so hard to target it to feed it, yet it's so easy to accidentally attack it.
9. Targeting just sucks. Trying to gather honey and picking flowers instead.
10. For people using lazy explorer with lag compensation on, they teleport in place. Or teleport immediately back to their original spot and consume two uses.
11. When riding a beefalo and using a book as maxwell and some other items, you dismount.
12. Everything is the same button. I've had the situation where I wanted to drop a lantern and cast a star while riding, but instead I dismounted, turned off my lantern, and then was in the dark unable to cast a star.
13. The weather pain "fixes" make weather pain more likely to attack a beefalo or structure far away when fighting AFW.
14. Why can't Warly eat the night berry but Wigfrid can?
15. New Crab King. You can't correctly target the ice wall to break it. Making it more frustrating than old CK.
16. Having a character suicide off an ice floe because of the targeting during CK.
17. Removing void walking, because  now whenever some stupid **** knocks me into the void, **** like this happens (see video).

18. Weird **** during CC where beefalo just instantly dies even when his not hurting. I've seen it happen enough to my friend to know it's BS. Probably something related to lag compensation and him accidentally dismounting as Maxwell, but we're not sure yet.



I feel like I could just keep listing ****. 

I just wish this would be addressed, so that the core experience was smooth and less frustrating for the wrong reasons.

What should be frustrating me, is, my own mistakes.  "Man I'm stupid for only taking 1 night armor into this fight to rush it"  not "This game is stupid because I can never do what I'm intending to do".

No. It's bad we just learn to deal with it because klei makes it obvious with their years of neglect that we have no hope of a fix anytime soon.

The controls have gotten a little better here and there over the years, but it's very painfully obvious not a single person at klei plays the game for any serious amount of time on console. Bad development practice.
