I was recently going back through trailers and comics and I had seen something that I just assumed was going to be the next big content update for enemies in DST. What im talking about is this- image.png.2e79c6150d5a0455e6f010e7375e6baf.png

For the Hallowed nights comic for 2024 they also released these little monsters in the Hallowed nights update-

What I assumed was that Wagstaff to combat these new terrors is building his own prototype of these masks to control other enemies on the surface. Yet I had no real thoughts to back up the idea it was what was super apparent to me. However, going back into some trailers with specific interactions with Wagstaff I dont think he is making masks for us, or for enemies in the constant, but rather, making robots out of WX's design.

Now this isnt 100% but bare with me- Woodrow is the audio files left in WX's files and has been adopted to quite a few people that WX use to be Woodrow which is what im going to use as the name for the scientist that worked for Wagstaff in the Disconnected [WX-78 Animated Short]
WX-78 or known in the files to be Woodrow seemed to be a scientist who hated his fleshy body, and decided to transfer his mind into a a shell of a robot known as WX.

Eventually over time his mind and soul inside this robot would make him go insane- remembering who he was or still feeling like a person even within this metal body.
He went on a rampage, destroying stuff, throwing blueprints such in the photo above in the trash and just in outrage. In some time of this being too much it is assumed that Wagstaff unplugged his empathy module so that Woodrow was gone, and WX was just a robot. Potentially it still didnt work and Wagstaff eventually sent WX into the constant being the last thing WX remembered before tearing out the empathy module and destroying it.

Now fast forward a lot to the From Beyond - Host of Horrors [Update Trailer] and we see that the lunafied enemies are becoming more apparent and stronger. Showing off that Altar (The moon) isnt backing down from its Onslaught. With lunar frog rains and a Varg that turned into a possessed Varg. Within this time Wagstaff meets WX in the process, seeing that WX doesnt seem to remember the past that they shared together. With that Wagstaff Disappears and zips back to what we can assume is Wilsons old home. image.png.402e5d386085a366e142287793c03cf0.png

He pulls out a box 4 papers and laid them onto the table and they were the papers of WX's Construction and starting drawing new blueprints.

I believe that within his scrapyard he will eventually do what he is doing in the 2024 Halloween Comic by not making masks- but rather making a bettered improved set of helpers for Wagstaff. To be frank- the survivors of the constant can only help Wagstaff so far and he needs more loyal allies to help him. So why not build an army of his own? This would also make sense that he is building an army because within Wagstaff's workshop in the Disconnected [WX-78 Animated Short] we can see that the robot Woodrow transferred his mind to wasnt the only one in the workshop-

Wagstaff destroyed these before sending WX away within the blips of Woodrows mind.

But from this perspective- it seems that Wagstaff was a lot younger at the time, and to see that time flows differently here- him growing old on earth is so much slower- With him being a tether of both- he can see both go at their normal times- This is why Wagstaff doesnt go into the constant and immediately age 100 years and die.

But also may be the reason he doesnt go there in person because he knows that time itself flows differently- We can see this within Wanda's scenarios- She broke time itself with her tools and was sucked into the constant without warning- Within the trailer she didnt constantly age but when she blipped through time it did age her- and she was able to reverse it- I think that Wanda is potraying how fast time is going outside compared to the inside- That, even if our survivors made it home- they would still be in a whole new world- this can be reinforced by the description of the compendium it says-

This can support the fact that Wanda is still experiencing age from earth rather than the constant. This shows that years go by every day in the constant- We can see this in Wandas fast rate of age and how she can luckily fix it.

Within all of that reasoning of course Wagstaff would think that WX would have died, or fallen apart- but he was wrong- WX is still alive and kicking even after all the disasters Wagstaff has seen in the constant. So of course- why wouldn't he want to make an army to follow Wagstaff's commands like WX was suppose to be.

In the end- I think that Wagstaff is going to be making robots similar to WX to do his bidding in whatever Wagstaff needs. Maybe they will be constructing something to siphon the moon directly, or to build something such as a new enemy that requires multiple peoples help to complete- and Wagstaff is only one old man so of course he would want Loyal followers to help him in his endeavors.

But thats what I theorize! what do you think? Do you agree or do you think something else is afoot? Either way id love to hear anybodies theories!
