There should be a pre-rift Boss that drops four Infused Moon Shards

For now it's impossible to get pure brilliance before the Moon Storm Event unlike Pure Horror which can be discovered pretty fast due to Nightmare Werepig. So I suggest to introduce new early-game Raid Boss that drops more than 4 infused moon shards to allow players try some Lunar Affinity much before unlocking Lunar Rift. 

Why especially "4 infused moon shards"? Well, to aquire pure brilliance from those, you'd better to...

  • If you don't have corresponding characters as your crewmates, Obtain Celestial Orb and upgrade Florid Postern - to change your characters as Wilson and Wigfrid to get Pure Brilliance and multiply those.
  • Kill Bee Queen to learn Bundling Wrap recipe since Infused Moon Shards spoil significantly fast.
  • Visit Ruins and Make Con/Deconstruction staff to multiply more pure brilliance by using Wigfrid's Enlightening Lullalby. Eventually you'll need to defeat Fuelweaver to get constant supplies of those.
  • The boss itself can require more tricky preconditions to visit or summon.

You need to do all those things on top of "killing the actual boss". So I think it's not a free supplies of infinite pure brilliance from day 1.

Nightmare Werepig is a great addition to early game because it lets player utilize some character's Shadow Affinity skills. Give the lunar affinity skills a chance to shine in early stages of the game!

Well, I don't know, I'm more of the opinion that certain items that require endgame resources (e.g. mudslingers) should only be available in the endgame. Therefore, I would prefer that access to both lunar and shadow affinity items be blocked in the early game, rather than giving the opportunity to obtain items from both sides at this stage of the game.
Dreaded mudslinger is a perfect example of this. Too powerful an item to be available in the first fall/year.

By the way, you can't deconstruct resources, even if they are crafted by Wilson, so deconstructing staff would be pointless.
