What the medical tree encompasses is for healing/medical items - healing salve, honey poultice, tillweed salve, etc. Just because food can heal doesn't mean other means of healing should be shunned. Yes, I like the concept of Wilson being a full accomplished doctor and such but remember, he hadn't finished his studies. So him getting some medical-based skills that are just a bit better compared to everyone else already suits me just fine. And it's not like I hadn't put such things in said tree. The slot 4 for the medical tree already allows him to not lose HP when crafting items like meat effigy and telltale heart. Of course, this is just a concept and that's alright by me. Again, I know you meant well but sometimes people just want simple things. What, you want 50% more healing? 150%? I'm doing lesser values so that players (be it new or old) learn to appreciate the small things. Just look at Wurt's skill tree - it being so full of combat-based skills that people start to dislike how OP she turned to be. Light Tier 1 - Equippable light sources give more light radius and durability by 25%. Torch is now can be refueled via grass or twigs. Tier 2 - Allows morning star to be refueled via nitre (25% per nitre). Increase other usable light sources' radius and durability by 50%. Branch 1 - Torch toss, when thrown will emit a small heat radius and can gradually set fire onto items and mobs. Increase range of torch toss to 20 wall tiles. Able to cook food using the thrown torch. Branch 2 - Create endothermic torch. Crafting materials: 2 nitre, 2 grass and 2 twigs. Can set trees on cold fire, turning them into petrified trees. Allows yourself to be jabbed with the shot to gain more speed and slight damage boost (5%) for 4 minutes, at the cost of your hunger and sanity (drains gradually at the rate of -5 sanity and -25 hunger/min). Slot 4 - Gains the Plague Doctor Mask (Crafting materials -> 2 pig skins, 4 gold, 1 tusk) and Medical Pack (Crafting materials - 2 boards, 1 rope). Return to your medical roots. Healing crafts that initially can damage your health will no longer affect you, and allows you to distribute your healing perks to other players. Information about the Plague Doctor Mask: 65% armor protection, 30% wetness protection. Durability: 425. Bonus perk for Plague Doctor Mask: Allows Wilson to gain 50% more health when applying medical items while wearing it (stacks with the previous perks - Perk stacks only work onto himself while others will only get 25% more health) and gives miasma protection. Medical Pack can store 4 medical-based items and stop the spoilage for tillweed salve. Inventor Slot 1 - Prototypes restore 50% more sanity. Slot 2 - Tools and weapons created by you lasts 25% longer. (Perks are not distributed to other characters) Slot 3 - Able to duplicate a blueprint using 2 papyrus and 1 feather pencil. Learns Explosionator (4 pure brilliance, 4 gunpowder, 2 frazzled wires, 2 ropes, 3 boards). Has 3 uses. Range: 5 Does 250 planar damage per use, and can be combined near each other up to 5 items. Damage boost from affinity perk doesn't count. Will cause Antlion-based sinkholes on surface/earthquake in caves. Downsides - If Wilson doesn't wear protective head gear while using it, he will get groggy and gradually lose 50 sanity for 4 minutes. I will only justify the big HP if dreadstone is also added to the mix lol. It could be similar to BERNIE, but I'm not sure if that is fair for that level of creation. I just propose Nigthmare fuel for make it accessible for early-mid game, but could be Dreadstone and be boosted (healing) with Pure Horror. The idea is based in the alchemy golem or something like a frankenstein, which are ideas that fit (in my POV) to Wilson. Basically: Light - Either remove endothermic torch or torch toss. Medical - Combine the Adrenaline Shot, Plague Doctor Mask and Medical Pack as one skill. Alchemy - No changes but require the Mad Scientist Lab for better efficiency. (For example, Wilson will use the regular transmute exchange rate but if he did it at the Mad Scientist Lab station, he will only need ⅔ of the items needed.) Beard - Adding the Beard Whip (Tail o' Three Cats + 4 beard hairs). Damage: 51. Uses: 100. Increase the percentage of mobs panicking OR change the state of rabbits/pigs/bunnymen. Affinity - 1st slot is for Ancients' transmutations. (No changes.) Shadow (left-side) Tier 1 - The pure horror-dreadstone transmute. Tier 2 - The Shadow Golem. Lunar (right-sided) Tier 1 - The infused glass shards-pure brilliance transmute.
