Nice Inclination Feedback

followers cannot be affected by any of wortox's abilities. he cannot heal them. they dont really give much use to him in the slightest.

Having access to tree chopping pigs is a huge deal in solo, you have no consistent means of mass producing logs otherwise and getting living logs can be really hard as Wortox

I know a friend whose entire gameplay revolves around being a multiplayer healpet. He was INCREDIBLY upset about catcoons and pigs in pig king bases (like 3/4 of bases in pubs) inconvinicned him and specifically him, to the point he quit the game until nice inclination was added. Don't ask me why that's upsetting, I don't relate to it, I hate healing others and I would have just killed the pigs/catcoons in the question. But his reasoning was along the lines of "I'm supposed to be a multiplayer assisting player but I'm not allowed to exist in common player bases :/"

personally i dont think the solution to this should be removing his monster tag, i think its that people should be more considerate of monster characters when making bases. its more difficult in pubs, sure, but i do think that there are things that players could be doing to help out a bit more. when i play with friends, we always choose a location that works out for everybody, so that we don't run into situations like that anyway. it's pretty easy to avoid basing in pig king, i've never understood it personally LOL

i do totally understand that it's quite bothersome, though. it makes me sad that's one of the few solutions for him. i definitely would suggest just killing the pigs+catcoons as well (ive had to a couple times when pubsurfing) but i understand being hesitant or feeling that it shouldnt be necessary

yeah i dont have anything else to suggest there that's fair. i don't have a problem harvesting that stuff personally because i don't mind the tedium, and i use actionqueue so that i dont have to spamclick anyways... >_>

my totally real and cool solution: invite me to all of your servers that you need menial tasks done in and i will do it for you instead (joking)

You get living logs the same as every other character sans Woodie and Wormwood??
Use a moon glass axe, bearger, weather pain, any of the other ways you have to chop trees. You mass produce logs by chopping. I don't know why I'm worried about getting logs as Wortox, this is about his skill tree.

I said consistent way to mass-produce logs. Everything you listed is more difficult or time consuming than pigs, or isn't available early on.

Why are you acting like I'm disrupting the conversation, your rudeness is completely unwarranted.

that's very utopic and unrealistic, and also it's never happening.

that said i like the monster tag removal in a thematic way, after all he is hated because he has a history of being a prick alongside kramps, and if he improves his behavior, the bad reputation dies down.

Wait, people still put Pig Houses INSIDE of their base? Permanent full moons are a thing, and we're still doing that? Did they watch a YouTube megabase tour from 2018 or something?

I might be living in a near-utopia, because I rarely have an issue with this when joining servers. Most people seem to know it's a bad idea to keep them too close to the important parts of a base. The few times I've had to scold someone for it in young worlds, it was before the farm was even built bigger than a house or two, and I just kill the pig(s) regularly myself until they move it to somewhere more appropriate. Free Hambats, so I can't really complain too much unless it's more than 3 and it becomes obnoxious, but I've never had to deal with that.

Is this an issue on Klei servers or something?

at most I see people basing at Pig King or something and it being an issue for their Wortox player, but you can relocate those? I'm not quite sure

Pubs. We're talking pubs. The wastelands, if you will. These are natural pig houses that demolishing is frowned upon.

people have chosen different base locations in pubs before because i was playing wortox. not everybody in pubs are assholes lol, and if they are i'd just leave cuz i play video games to enjoy myself. i hope that you can find better people to play with, if me suggesting that people accommodate you incited such a strong reaction.

absolutely huge agree. it seems like such an odd choice, and again, it's extremely easy to avoid.

i had one pub where there were pigs literally inside of their base, but my friend and i were swamp basing anyways because they were playing wurt, so i didn't have any issues. i just tped over every so often during the afternoons to drop off meat + trinkets and take some resources if i needed them. (funny enough everybody else ended up leaving so the swamp base got further along than the pk one lol)

like @viblym said, they can easily be relocated too. i don't see why that would be an issue

Tell that to pub players, multiple public servers with organized groups still frown upon killing natural houses at e.g. pig king.

it's not about me, it's my healpet friend who exclusively plays on pubs and had basically only one thing on his skill tree wishlist and that was a way to remove the monster tag. a lot of times people are already settled down or in the process of settling down at pig king when he joins so I can see why he doesn't get accomodated. that said it really is not about me; I really am not bothered by some pigs especially when 1) I kill them on sight 2) I don't play on pubs and I only play naughty wortox.

I really like Nice early game. It's Nice to not have to dodge every pigman you see, and makes knocking their houses down for early supplies/pig relocation easy.

I think it actually saves a lot of time, so I try to at least have it early on.

That and the easy sanity management for Nice is great.

They could just remove the entire lifebringer perks and put some GOOD perks for wortox. These perks only benefits other players and not him ( we already have twintalle hearts, booster shots, mest effigies and red amulets for revival). I dont understand the necessity to spend skill tree points for a feature that is easily obtainable.

I find the lifebringer branch to be pretty good because the teleport alone is extremely handy up until you set up a ton of lazy deserters around the map, while the resurrection function just spares the headache from carrying the materials for other resurrection methods. Playing with newbies or unskilled players has always been a solid motive for picking Wortox- Which the resurrection without the need to fetch booster shots or spider gland makes less annoying, while the teleport is useful regardless of whether your friends are skilled or not. I don't see why I'd be against a branch that is useful only in multiplayer, when in solo I have so many other skills to choose from to benefit myself. I see no issue with this skill branch being skippable solo, it's not like the rest of the skill tree doesn't exist.

Yeah, Lifegiver is great. A bit buggy right now though. Asking for it to be removed is an awful, awful take.

I do wish the Soul Bastion line was more appealing when solo, somehow. Besides the 4 teleport perks, Nice is really pigeonholed for multiplayer support.

Even in multiplayer, I really want something added to Soul Bastion so it's not just "you're a better healbot, now".

I think it's really good thematically. Are we able to heal pigmen to make the nice solo play viable?

I'm kind of confused on the hate for basing by pig King as neutral or naughty. I know most of you guys and gals are better at combat than the pigs, and the skin/meat is pretty handy. Also teleporting away to lose agro has always been an option, if you're in over your head. Another thing to note, if you're playing with someone who put base at PK, it shouldn't be too hard to get someone to help if you really need.

Again, no one in the convo cares. I just brought up my friend who feels oppressed from it because "I am a multiplayer character yet being near other players witg the pig king base inconviniences me"

I really don't care. I kill pigs on sight and I don't care for being a healpet.

I do think nice inclination should have more than just removing the monster tag, especially when it comes with its own downside, the higher sanity drain is a bigger downside than slightly lower healing from souls

The higher sanity swing thing is actually an upside very often.  It's pretty well balanced and incentivizes me to take it more.

But the higher sanity gain from releasing completely cancels that out. You need the same number of souls as neutral, but hitting 0 sanity means you need even fewer to get back to max.

Naughty gets no sanity from releasing, on top of less healing. The monster tag is the equivalent of the overload perk.

Upside? In what way?

You can quickly go insane for AFW, and then back again. NMF farming, reducing enlightenment.
