Some thoughts on Wendy, different forms of Abi, and "op" and "nerf"

Recommended Posts

The atmosphere in the community seems a bit strange recently.
Everyone is a little anxious, including me.
Negative mood seems to occupy most of everyone's time. Everyone is fighting for what they want.
This situation...how should I put it? I feel a bit...strange and uneasy.
But anyway, I don't think that I can change everyone's views with a few random articles.
I prefer a relaxed and casual environment.
Hmm...some people seem to just post opinions like: NERF! NERF! or OP!
They even write some things that make people feel confused.
This game is not just for you.
For those people, I put forward my own opinions, or opinions inspired by others' opinions.
It seems that you keep silent about Shadow Abi and make a big fuss about the damage she suffers.
Increasing Shadow Abi's comfort (duration) makes her more vulnerable to bosses. I feel that it will be a good balance.
Because you seem to be very confident in using Abi to fight bosses.
Then this is not something for us ordinary players or casual players.
Let you think you are very powerful. Those who want to deprive us of the comfortable game use more convenient shadow abi and fight with their own powerful operations. This may be a good idea.

As for the moon abi, she should focus on the survivability when fighting with the boss.
Survival is the most important thing, because without abi, the difference between Wendy and Wes...may not be big.
The previous version of the moon abi was in a very good situation.
The most important thing is that the one-second pause after the attack makes the moon abi sluggish.
(´。_。`)
As for the invincibility frame when attacking, this is undoubtedly the icing on the cake for the moon abi.
My biggest request is... to make her as flexible as before.
·Cancel the one-second pause after attacking.
·Call back the invincibility frame of attack (this may be a rude request).
·It seems that it is gone.

(Actually, I don't want to weaken Shadow Abi... I just want the bad guys who reject Moon Abi to feel that my idea offends their interests. My idea is still to adjust the status of Moon Abi.) That's all……

That's it~
Our opinions are equally important. This is my idea.
I hope DST can be better...

The vibes have def felt off since the last patch. I was getting really anxious and really only appearing in the forums to argue with people. I was considering abandoning the beta for my mental health.

@Steorra's efforts to provide compromises have really reinvigorated my enthusiasm though. Still nervous, but I'm optomistic there's a compromise that can be reached.

Many discussions on balance on the forum are essentially one-sided demands, and these demands conflict with each other, which has led to the current chaotic situation.

From a serious perspective, balance is very complicated.

As an online game, one or even a group of skilled companions are the most OP existence.
In online games, the most important balance in the skill tree is not to let the character you use fall too far behind your companions.
When your friends easily overcome challenges, but you fall behind due to efficiency reasons and often need their help, this experience becomes very boring.
But in single-player games, the progress of the game is only related to you, and the most important thing is not to disrupt the survival challenge of the character itself.A skill tree, part of it is very suitable for single-player games, and some skills seem to be very OP in single-player games. But the OP part, in multiplayer games - following the footsteps of peers, may just reach the passing line.

And,There is a difference that I am not sure may cause differences among players (because I only know the Chinese game environment)
- In China, players do not reject mods, and some multiplayer servers often use mods to increase the difficulty of the game, such as monster enhancement, resource removal, lottery traps...
For fans of the original survival version, OP skills are just right for players who use mods to increase difficulties.

There are so many ways to play the game, and when anyone tries to influence the game in the direction they want, if they are unwilling to accept compromises for different groups, conflict is inevitable.

In China, some people are opposed to the existence of skill trees for this reason, because its existence makes it possible for the differences of different players to collide. They believe that as long as there are no trees, all disputes will not happen.
