Is damage resistance flower shroud such a bad idea?

I've been thinking about how I miss the direct connection to Abigail that the flower shroud was supposed to have, as opposed to the hat. The devs changed their minds on the shroud defending Abigail because it would make her a glass cannon, but I think it could be tweaked to not have this issue.

My idea is for the shroud to give Abigail a flat defense buff rather than headgear based, like around 50% damage resist, or possibly planar entity protection. Wendy would lose a small amount of sanity based on the damage resisted.

Sacrificing your body slot for this and the sanity loss would be enough to make it not overpowered or trivialize combat I think, and would be a nice option for the people who want better survivability for Abigail.

They wouldn't need to get rid of the flower hat, that could just stay as it's own separate item.
