mikimiaomiao
After this beta update, there seems to be more buffs regarding Wendy's skill tree. Luckily, the design team listened to the suggestions of the players on the forums and took into account the ideas they had for Wendy's skill tree, such as the garland for this update. Unfortunately, the team seems to have listened to the design of the garland and did not refer to the player's position on the function of the garland. When it comes to the design of Wendy's special armour, we first need to figure out what the armour is in DST. The first is functionality, which determines which type of armour the player will choose to use for the long term. Players use berets to keep warm and recover, horned hats and winter hats to keep warm, and eyeball umbrellas to protect against lightning and rain. These three types of armour are the functional armour that I use the most, and the other players I've met in online games. The second is defensiveness, which determines which type of armour the player chooses in battle. From the beginning to the completion of a series of main quests, players will try to choose the best armour to fight, such as the popular pigskin helmet. As for the design of Wendy's skill tree, the design of the garland and shroud does not seem to have a clear positioning, or it seems that they want to be both functional and defensive, resulting in poor performance in both aspects. For example, some people say that the Shroud is strong because it helps Wendy take more damage, and is even immune to damage caused by hunger and temperature, but who can wear the Shroud instead of a backpack when not fighting. Or maybe the garland is strong because it can both regenerate health and achieve functions such as night vision (with potions), but this premise is that you need to wear the garland all the time. Apparently, the garland 1.5 SAN regeneration, as well as the lack of thermal insulation and thermal insulation, suggest that it is a piece of armour that is primarily used in combat. After combat testing in the beta version, the potion was too slow to regenerate health compared to using food to restore health, and it was not possible to quickly return to a safe state when Wendy's health was low. When receiving a series of attacks or attacks with excessive damage, the potion will have little effect on recovery. Perhaps the garland is designed to allow the player to regenerate health during non-combat time, but wouldn't it be better to sleep in a tent and restore both sanity and health at the same time. Finally, a suggestion about Wendy's skill tree: I think what Wendy players want is nothing more than to be able to fight with their sister and survive together in the Don't Starve Continent, rather than making one side a burden to the other. I knew it would be difficult to balance Wendy and Abigail's characters in designing a skill tree where the sisters would work together, but it was really what most players wanted. We hope to see such a bereaved person, with Abigail's company in the Famine Continent (even if the companionship may be illusory), to be stronger and braver. I want Wendy's skill tree can be like sisters are of the same heart, and their profits are golden. mikimiaomiao
My idea is to make the garland as a gift for Abigail. If the garland doesn't have a unique advantage over other helmets, why not design it as Abigail's equipment to improve Abigail's survivability.
