My thoughts on Gestalt Abigail nerf.

Since your claim is not that you want to make Wendy overpowered but rather that you just want to preserve the fantasy of the two sisters always being together, there are balanced ways of arriving at that destination... but is that really a road you want to travel down?

Wendy is the first character that really got me into the game and I think she is a great intro to the game since she lets you explore the early game without getting destroyed by stuff immediately.  (hound attacks, darkness resistance, etc).

However as a newish and not that skilled player, trying to fight bosses with her seems pointless.  I agree completely that Abigail shouldn't be able to solo bosses, but I've found the most fun is when you can coordinate basically a tag team with Wendy and Abigail.  Getting mobs to constantly switch agro and run away is actually kind of fun and entertaining.

So I agree with this OP post. The only thing I really would like from this skill tree is Abigail to have even somewhat of a chance to survive boss fights instead of instantly being deleted.  There is that fan skill tree in the workshop where some armor and HP is added and I think that is a great idea.

I do love the idea of sniper Abigail too.  I really enjoyed Gestalt Abigail before the nerf because I was fighting dragonfly and had to run for my life while Abigail was helping me with damage.  I can see nerfing her damage a little, but things have gotten too extreme.  She has trouble even fighting a single bee now.  And if she gets swarmed it seems the AI gets messed up and she just sits there taking damage.  She actually seems far worse now than base Abigail.

Also Wendy getting some more skills would be nice.  Her becoming a potion master is a great start I think, though a lot of the potion effects on her don't seem that great, at least for the ones I've tested.

Just my thoughts.  I'd love to know what you think and I hope you have the best every day EVER!!!

Sorry but I really don't see the balance there. Wendy without her skill trees is not as strong as other characters.
Yes, I am able to speedrun Dragonfly and Bee queen within the first few days in game but that's pretty much it. When she's going to fight with other bosses like Deerclops, Klaus, etc. Abigail is pretty much useless as she can be easily killed.

I do agree with your point that to have Abigail to survive means that her disadvantage will be removed and that's the main point, I cannot see how "overpowered" that can be. Since it takes practice to be able to fight Bee Queen and Dragonfly with Abigail and Wendy.

With her disadvantage and how Abigail dies so easily, you're pretty much fighting bosses other than Bee Queen and Dragonfly but longer.

I also don't see the point of comparing her to Wes as Wes will remain a challenger character. You said that you'll be a big fan of leaving Wendy's .75 combat and I'm going to hold your hand and tell you this, but we do not have the same playstyle. If you'd like to play a character to challenge yourself, Wes is free to play.

Again, with new bosses that will be added in the future. She's pretty much weak compared to the other characters.
