Klei what are U doing?

Recommended Posts

Lunar Abigail's sprint will still be harmed, the damage has also weakened. The changes are very terrible! We only hope that the characters we love are stronger.Your designer has no understanding of the pain points of this character.Fighting rational monsters is very difficult, and in the later stages of the game, various creatures find it difficult to fight with Abigail. We just hope to redo the skill tree, otherwise this character is terrible and almost no one wants to play it anymore. Please listen to our voices! Please!

Is there no Justice in the world anymore?
If you pick a character who is super super strong in the early game, they should obviously.. and fairly justifiable fall off and struggle more than others in the late game.

This is Video Game Logic 101.

Just like if you pick Willow to easily survive in Summer they balanced that out by making her struggle worse with Winter.

If Wendy murders everything Pre-Rifts, Post Rifts should be a justified struggle for her.

And since Wendy’s entire “Gimmick” is that Abigail won’t help her at all when it comes to fighting Shadow Creatures, then any new shadow creatures (or Shadow Rift Mobs) should obviously be Wendy’s Weaknesses.

Unless Klei eventually caves to peer pressure and lets Abigail fight against shadows too. *yawn*

Defiantly a possibility if "Wendy players" wine enough.

got this update delayed after all.

It shouldn’t even be a thought honestly.. and Wolfgang who just by existing effectively cuts all bosses health bars down to half of their total, he should had struggled in the late game too, but Klei gave him Le Funny Planar damage so he can ignore that struggle.

It makes me wonder what was even the point of adding planar into the game at all?

Ive played so many games in my 30+ years and almost every super powerful early game pick, regardless of the game or genre, significantly falls off in the late game, and the ones that struggled a lot in the early game are the ones that now out power the early game powerhouses in the long run.

Fully agree with your point here Mike, though I will say this example isn't great since Willow is now the easiest character to survive winter with because of her skilltree

Honestly Willow has never been “difficult” to survive in winter because of her lighter. Her downside is a punishment for those being careless for not keeping track your body temperature.

I always think people are overrating the small dwarf star in her skill tree - she already can make a huge fire with only a few wool that lasts for the entire Winter night. The star is helpful for long boss fight, but for survival she can handle it easily without the star.

On the other hand, I think Woodie is a good example of “strong early, fall off late”. Everything he can do will be ultimately replace by other gears or methods. Even the Weremoose will be replaced as you deal more planar damage with the planar weapons than Weremoose’s 3rd attack.

Although I also feel that the poster's ideas have some flaws. But as you said, 'Villo will be even more difficult in winter', emmmm, To be honest, in my experience, Viola is the character who is least afraid of winter. Because she only needs to place the ubiquitous combustibles on the ground, ignite them with a lighter, and then lightly extinguish them with the lighter before the combustibles burn out. In this way, you can ignore the cold of the entire winter at almost non-existent cost, far stronger than any character. Not to mention that she can create an 8-minute star with 2 ether embers anytime, anywhere, and the temperature there is much warmer than in winter.
