DVGMedia Posted December 5, 2024 Share Posted December 5, 2024 So klei took out the shroud because they don't want it to be tank based I think the shroud Is still a good item to be a skill point for It just needs a different effect than sharing hp. It should still stay as a link between wendy and abigail. And so Im suggesting changing it to where wearing it links you to abigail but in a sense where you both move at the same speed and direction. Abigail mimics your speed and movements while wearing it. You usually always see twins moving about together doing the same things so I think would be a perfect thing for people to see and want to use. Wendy wearing this basically gets a light aura that she can move around with. but you still gotta give away your chest slot for this. And there are better alternatives like having lightbugs surround you. But I can totally see wendys using this in day to day building because it means you never have to carry a light source for the duration of the shroud. And while in combat wendy can help abigail kite damage by moving herself. while also generally providing more safety to the both of them. But it would be up to the player to get that safety. Wendy backs away, Abigail backs away. Wendy gets closer, Abigail gets closer. Wendy goes left, Abigail goes right. It'd make directional attackers like Deerclops and Bearger basically guaranteed to miss either Abigail or Wendy while also giving you full control of Abigail's movement since she'd kite when and how you do. Interesting proposal however I would think that would make things more confusing for players and it kind of would just mess with positioning. OMEGASCRUFF Posted December 6, 2024 Share Posted December 6, 2024 I honestly believe the Shroud was a good idea, as it helps to manage the main recurring complaint people have about Abigail, which is her bulk during boss fights, since she doesn't kite very well. The premise of connecting Abigail and Wendy through their stats is, I think, a pretty good one. It was just... Super over-tuned and untested. It could have been balanced better before scrapped entirely. A fix to the damage transfer from Wendy to Abigail could be just a partial transfer instead. The numbers and the contribution of shared healing and/or armor to Abigail could also be fine-tuned further, as well, until a healthy balance is found. Staying close to Wendy should straight-up be a toggle-able Teamwork command, in my opinion. It would be really nice if Vigor Mortis was buffed a little to combo with this, as there's no reason to heal when you're properly rewarded for kiting. Abigail just can't kite as it stands, unless mashing the limited Teamwork commands (or having Lunar Abigail do most of the work for you, currently, but they're surely addressing that.) This command could make her quickly catch up to Wendy as soon as she starts walking, and quickly focus on the target that Wendy begins attacking. Just my thoughts, though. I don't really believe I have all the answers for Wendy.
