gaymime Posted December 3, 2024 Share Posted December 3, 2024 so klei wants more feedback for walter and i am super bored so let's have some friendly competition! the first three people to post a video of themselves getting all* magnificent adornment gets one klei product totalling no more than 10usd of their choosing from the klei store on steam(sorry, i dont play on console). rules are pretty simple; you must turn on winter's feast to collect the baubles, you have to record and post your full session but you can choose if you want to do it al at once or in parts(no off-screen grinding though), you can choose any setting for your world but you must play as walter for the full duration of play and finally you need to be able to accept gifts on steam if you want one of the prizes! edit: the use of mods are fine BUT ONLY ones that do not interfere or alter gameplay. roseate hud is fine, quick-pick is not. if you aren't sure please ask before you start. here is a list of each adornment; https://dontstarve.fandom.com/wiki/Winter's_Feast#Magnificent_Adornments possible prizes can be found here; https://store.steampowered.com/developer/klei *for the sake of expediency you only need one of the three klaus fight adornments, only one of the four celestial fight adornments, one of the two toadstool adornments and only one of the two crabking fight adornments. basically if a boss has more than one variant you do not need all variants to count towards your total completed runs! 1. gaymime Posted December 4, 2024 Author Share Posted December 4, 2024 oh, that wasn't an issue the last time i did one of these X''D oops! but i suppose the last time i held one of these it was a nothing-world mod and didnt really benefit from that to be fair to everyone the only mods allowed are ones that do not change the technical function of gameplay which is to say things like hud reskins and combined status are ok but things like quick-pick, action queue, map-reveal and tmip are not. or more simply, it can change the way things look but not the way they function. _mylilsunshine_ Posted December 5, 2024 Share Posted December 5, 2024 I finished recording a session (1hr 10mins, 6GB-ish) and I can't find a way to upload it on Yoochube, so I might consider re-recording in 720p-30 fps instead of 1080p-60fps. The viewing experience will be torturous, and since I progress very slowly, there will be at least 20 hours' worth of clips. I will try again for 1080p-60fps dough. I just now noticed that you allowed any world setting so I have another reason to restart, but I'll stick to vanilla generation for the fun and fairness of it. It's only right before the D-Fly fight anyway. I've found myself managing my sanity just fine with Butterfly for healing and wandering in the Evergreen forest for Green caps and Tree aura. In fact, here's a clip of me getting my ass beat by spiders (and later by a pigman). I recovered from this just fine, as long as I keep my trusty Pinetree hat on. Also thank you for the Twitch suggestion. If Yoochube doesn't work out, I might stream on Twitch and let them hold the clips for me. I broke the footage into three 20mins 720p-30fps clips yet it didn't work. And then I realized, I haven't really brought back to base any ornaments LMAO. I was just focused on killing the bosses and trying out the new skill tree. The video file is not in my clips. When I was reviewing the clips there was one corrupt file with nothing recorded in it. But also during my playthrough there was an annoying crash that happened with a specific walter skill that loaded in before your character, so It might be completely possible that I just forgot to play the record button after one of the crashes. I can check the vod and note down if I killed any of the bosses during those 8 days and redo them.
