HokahokaPancake
I suggest that Walter's skill tree should be freely chosen from the following directions. 1) Skills related to SlingShot SlingShot is well under development and has been refined. Ammo should be unlocked in a tree-like structure. Putting skill points into ammo used in the early game will unlock ammo used in the mid-game. Putting skill points into ammo used in the mid-game will unlock ammo used in the later game. It will make it more reasonable to put skill points into weak ammo. And it prevents beginners from unlocking ammo that they cannot use at that stage. SlingShot has been well discussed in other topics, so I will not go into it any further. 2) Skills related to Woby This is WobyTraining. This skill is still incomplete and needs to be discussed. Currently only 4 points can be allocated to WobyTrainingStation. If you were to allow players to create builds that specialize in Woby, how about increasing the number of points you can use in WobyTrainingStation by the amount of skill points you spend on training Woby? That alone is not powerful enough, so how about giving Woby its own health and allowing him to attack in close combat? Walter is being defined as a long-range character, but it would be better if he could choose to attack in close combat. Training progress should be synced between servers. It's fun to spend a long time training. However, compared to the fact that you can domesticate a Beefalo in 20 days, the return is small. The long time spent raising it should be carried over to the next server. Considering that the insight points of other survivors are synced, Woby should be synced as a survivor as well. I think the developers are currently tweaking WobyTraining, so I'll wait for that. 3) Skills as a Pinetree Pioneer I think a portable campfire is very good. It can cook, which Walter is good at, and it can tell stories. However, there is a concern that this will use up inventory slots. A skill that makes the cost of campfires less expensive may also be good. I would also like some sailing related skills. 4) Skills related to making friends This might be included in the skills of a Pinetree Pioneer. I think Walter is a character that likes to make friends. In Walter's first appearance movie, he gives jerky to Deerclops to try to make friends with him! It's also sad that Woby is the only person Walter tells stories to in solo play. As I mentioned in another topic, Walter is good at making friends even without a skill tree. And if he has a friend who is willing to tank for him, he won't need to rely on Pellets to slow down enemies. I suggest the following skills. - Pigs and rabbits equipped with a Pinetree Pioneer Hat become Walter's followers. - Beefalo attacked with pooppellets go into heat. - Beefalo associated with Beefalo Bells owned by Walter or Woby will progress to domestication. (If it's OP: Beefalo's domesticity will not decrease.) It will be pointed out that Wigfrid also has the skill of training Beefalo. However, Wigfrid and Walter are survivors with synergy. Wigfrid is good at fighting, so she tanks, and Walter is bad at pain, so he can shoot from behind. It may be said that it is inevitable that these two will work together to raise Beefalo. It would be fun to have Walter take along Woby, Pig, Rabbit, Beefalo, Gnarwail or RockLobster, Chester or Hutch, and Glommer.
