I think what makes skill trees in videogames is having a wide variety of builds. So you could recruit some mobs and then fight with them while keeping them alive with heals, allowing for multiplayer pearks to also work in single player. If only this game already had mobs with built in mechanics for being recruitable. Soul Bastion I could use a branched talent above it, that would still affect solo players. This would let Wortox go 9 Nice + 6 Naughty without picking up Lifegiver I, which is worthless solo. Beefalo, specifically by blowing a beefalo horn, as just using a bell makes them follow the bell and not you. so that wouldnt work unless they change it so it creatures count as folloiwng you when they're following something you have, so it'd also impact chester, hutch and glommer. in doing so it'd also be a mild increase to wolfgangs "coach wolfgang" skill.
