Wendy comprehensive perk feedback

Sisturn skills:

Fine BUT, could use a different, expensive and more permanent method of increasing Abigail's HP.

 

Potion skills:

Mediocre. Not very taking. Could be changed into different skills?

If this isn't an option, maybe PLEASE give us an option to give Abigail more potions at once.

There's so many potions... and we still have the limit of 1?

 

Dark Petals 1 and 2:

From what I understand, this perk is made to synergise with the grave beautification skills which produces dark petals.

You produce dark petals using this perk, and change them into normal petals, giving them to the sisturn and the graves again.

Currently, the production of dark petals is too low. (There are plans to increase it, so it's alright).

The Dark Petal vest is... a complicated topic. It's an alright design, but is this really what Wendy needed?

We could have used a different way of making Abigail more tanky,  like letting her explore her spirituality via communing with other ghosts, or creature souls, giving her some new abilities. But that's just my take on it I guess.

 

Vengeful Ghost:

Quite unnecessary, but creative approach. This could have been a different, more useful perk.

 

Mourning glory perks:

Amazing, don't change.

 

Grave perks:

The graves' 4 ghost limit is not very good. We should increase it by a lot. Even if someone had 10 ghosts, it is still 30 PETALS. This amount of petals requires some set-up.

Why not make the graves more expensive, and the grave beautification more permanent?

I don't understand the push and pressure for the use of petals in everything. Wendy doesn't even like flowers. Wendy DOES NOT like flowers.

 

Abigail commands:

Attack At - quite okay, but she isn't attacking the place she is told to... it's just a dash... Bug?

Escape - quite unnecessary since you can just use your flower to hide Abigail, but good for beginners I guess?

Scare - the scare is too short to even be remotely useful. The fact that it can be cancelled by enemies during casting makes it even worse, since you often can't use it successfully in dangerous situations.

 

Lunar Affinity:

1 - Planar buffs are too low

2 - Planar potion buffs are too low, outclassed by Nightshade Nostrum easily, even against most Planar enemies.

3 - gestalt Abigail kiting makes her hit more than if she just went back and attacked when she can. Remove her "keeping distance", and just make her run away from the enemy until she can attack.

Her low attack range makes her unpleasant to play with psychologically. Maybe increase it twice and decrease the damage twice to match it?

It would also help with the Vex duration problem.

 

Shadow Affinity:

Same problems as Lunar, also the Shadow Potion's only real use is compensating for Gestalt Abigail's low Vex duration, but they are mutually exclusive, cannot be used at once, making it realistically unusable.

The murder action perk is interesting, yet the damage is too low for it to mean anything.  The time spent murdering creatures could be used to attack with Abigail, making you have more dps than if you just murdered creatures in your inventory.

This perk needs to be either tweaked, or remade.

 

 

 

The whole idea of the skilltree and creativity are good and I like where it is going, but some perks are either unusable or disappointing. I like how they are made to work with each other, but dislike how even with that they offer little to no benefits.

 

If you ignore the toxic posts, Chinese feedback is a bit good, Wendy DOES need changes, her skilltree does not need to be remade from the ground up. Individual perks need remaking and big changes.

I agree with most of this, but I will say I hope they do something more interesting with the gravestones line than simply making them permanent. Making a truly passive source of nightmare fuel via the 4:1 dark petals craft feels kinda cheap.

Instead, I'd like it if Beautified graves created some sort of protective ward, like preventing the effects of insanity or wildfires with a radius. The cap of decorated graves prevents this from being abused, and could make for fun integrating graves in the base.

I also think Gravestones built by Wendy should do more to show off her personality, like unique inspect quotes, as the default ones don't fit Wendy.

Yeah I was more thinking about automatic farms when I said "make them permanent", but more effects would be nice, not only a ghost. Negating wildfires is too extreme, negating insanity... interesting, strong. I don't know how it would work with Maxwell/Wickerbottom.

 

Maybe they could haunt? Or transform some things in their radius.

Maybe. The radius doesn't have to be constant. I think protection from wildfires could work if its only things within a players length from the gravestone,

Whereas negating insanity could have a larger radius. I didn't consider Maxwell/Wicker, but they would still have to leave the area at some point, so the effects of insanity would only be delayed, not avoided.

Edit: and wendy would have to be actively upkeeping graves for it to have effect, balancing it.
