Wortox soul echo action instead of soul hopping?

My problem with Wortox's current shadow alignment implementation is needing to soul hop in order to receive the bonuses of the perk, while this sounds good on paper in-game it feels clunky and you lose out on a lot of DPS by doing this. Overall the bonus damage from shadow alignment is a bit too expensive as you are spending a lot of souls to receive the damage and the hopping action makes you do less damage compared to standing still and holding F.

To fix these problems with the skill, maybe the implementation of an action to spend a soul to receive two soul echoes would be good? This would make the damage received from soul echoes less expensive as you get more value, as well as solving the problem of being stuck in the hop animation and losing out on DPS.

Could also have fun interactions with Lifted Spirits I, instead of soul hopping you can get more time with increased movement speed which pairs well with other movement speed items.

No, I mean using a soul from your inventory to spend it and grant you two soul echoes. The purpose of this being that it interacts with the skills that function with soul echo better.

Right clicking it to eat it? Just trying to get how this would work, in terms of controls.
