"The Flower Shroud currently redirects Wendy's damage onto Abigail. It will change so that Abigail will benefit from Wendy's head gear armor instead"

 

 

i like the current version more, where abigail takes damage for you, but you can heal her with food. I like it more like this than giving abigail armour because i find this more interesting, fun and better balanced. The armour would make abigail way too easy to not die, a regular healing potion would likely make abigail able to outheal all damage. It would make Wendy less fun to manage abigail.

The existing variation encourages bad habits when fighting with Wendy, in that facetanking will often be preferable to kiting as there's less chance of bosses hitting Abigail. It doesn't help with Wendy's learning curve at all.

The armour still takes up the chest slot, which is a significant drawback.

We don't know how it'll be implemented. I imagine it'll consume durability, but less than normal (bc otherwise it consumes a stupid amount of Durability)

i agree its current form is more interesting but i think if u just spam heals its too strong. also u can resummon abby when she dies to tank infinite damage. unfortunately i think it just doesnt work in practice

i think the new version could still be fun if special effects from headgear also applied to abby. u can still spam heals but u cant just face tank

Even if it does i still find it op because it would remove the challenge of balancing abigail.

 

Abigail's health and hp regenerations potions and abilities are balanced around her not having armour. If she would have even a 70% reduction, it would remove the challenge from her

If thats so, they should either remove the healing Abigail gets from food, or think of another idea that isnt armour reduction.

Not at all. Its not too much effort to switch between it and a back pack.

Obviously you didn't experience the shroud's poor design in depth on the test server, nor did you know the effect of the big health potion or the fact that the boss dealt double damage to Abigail. As a player, why don’t I choose a big blood bottle with 20 health points per second, but choose to eat 15 dragon fruit pies and jelly beans with one drop of health per second? In addition, does Wendy’s design of crazy eating blood-replenishing food to restore Abi’s health fit the character design? Is Wendy a big eater?

Sure, is strong but more expensive than simply wearing a thulecite crown or the stupidly cheap rift helmets

And the future iteration encourages stand still watching abi tanking with her (600hp+300hp from sistrum)*1.8 or 1.9 total health....

Wendy attempted to kill the Dragonfly without head armor, resource consumption is 15 Spectral Cure-All (for rookie) or 2 Spectral Cure-All (for veteran).
If Abigail can benefit from Wendy's head gear armor, the estimated resource consumption is: 3 Spectral Cure-All +7 Football Helmet (for rookie) or 1 Spectral Cure-All +2 Football Helmet (for veteran).
 
The latter is more reasonable.

This part of the skilltree can be further divided to form branches. Force the player to choose a floral armor that cannot transfer over cold/heat/hunger damage but does not cause Wendy to slow down, or choose a floral armor that can transfer over cold/heat/hunger damage but has a more pronounced slowing effect.
