Huijing
Dear Designers, I'm a player who is carried away by anger and incomprehension, and I can't speak the language and can only communicate with the translator. I love DST and want it to get better and better. Please forgive me for the following rude remarks, and hopefully not unduly offensive to you. Excuse me, do you usually play this game as a player? Do you know the actual strength of the individual characters? Do you really feel like you feel the same way as the majority of gamers? Weak characters should have a stronger skill tree than strong characters, and everyone agrees with this view, but the reality is not satisfactory. The already powerful Wolfgang's skill tree is too strong to be brainless, Wilson's torch branch is like a joke, almost no Wigfried will fight on a Beefalo equipped with Battle Saddle, and Wendy's skill tree is a disaster. A really good skill tree should be like Woodie's and Willow's, where each skill is just right for the character, and there are no useless and superfluous skills. Let me explain why some of the skill trees are terrible: Wolfgang's skill tree is simple but too powerful, so strong that its shortcomings become insignificant, and too strong to be reasonable. Wilson's torch branch is neither reasonable nor useful, and it's ridiculous to think that a gentleman scientist needs at least 4 skill points to throw a torch to the ground to light it, while an arsonist only needs 3 skill points to light a Fire Ball like a Dwarf Star. Wigfrid's rider branch does too little to help the character, Wigfried is much stronger than Ornery Beefalo, obviously Rider Beefalo is better for Wigfrid, then Battle Saddle doesn't help Wigfried much either. Wurt's Mosquito items are too low in value, cumbersome to obtain, and not very useful. Wendy's skill tree is terrible, heartbreakingly bad, it doesn't get any worse than that! The designer may have had a serious misjudgment about Wendy. Unlike other characters where only a small part of their skills are useless, Wendy's skill tree has only a small part of it that helps, and some parts even weaken the character! I'd like to elaborate on that in particular. Let's take a look at a small set of skills that can help your character: Team Spirit. This part of the skill can make Abigail more flexible in combat, but I don't understand why the three commands share a cooldown, in order to deliberately weaken it? Grave. This part of the skill can fix the Pipspook spawn point, and it can help players who like the setting, but other than that, it is of little use, and as for the Evil Flower that spawns, IMHO, it is worthless. Pipspook Quest. These skills can give Wendy more Mourning Glory, but Ghostly Elixir is not very useful in the first place, so what is the use of more Mourning Glory? The skills in the above parts are just barely useful, but these skills are even worse: Blessed sisturn. The main function of these skills requires Wendy to be next to Sisturn, which can be said to be only useful in the base. Dark Petals. This part of the skill is like a design made by someone who has never played the game, and Dark Petals are far rarer than Petals, although neither item is very useful. Floral Shroud is speechless, and players who regularly choose Wendy know that Abigail is far more vulnerable than Wendy, which only makes Abigail more vulnerable, and even reduces his speed by 15%, which is the first ability to weaken a character. Vengeful Ghost. I can't really think of any use for this, it's more of a joke than a skill. Strong Brew. The duration of the Ghostly Elixir itself that can be strengthened by this part of the skill is enough, and basically no battle will last more than a day, not to mention that the Ghostly Elixir itself is not very useful, and the most useful Spectral Cure-All is not strengthened by these skills. Affinity. This part of the skill is like sending beggars away, just +5 Planar Defense doesn't help Abigail in the slightest, and the two new Ghostly Elixir don't do much either, and it's like sending beggars. Lunar Allegiance III. causes Abigail to lose its area of effect attack and extend the attack interval, which causes Abigail's vulnerable buff to be almost ineffective. The way Shadow Allegiance III. is implemented is terrible. Obviously, this part of the skill has a great impact on the character, but it is designed to be so indescribable. Wendy's entire skill tree is very strange, and if you look at it with a critical eye, please forgive me for my blunt assessment, there is nothing well designed. You may think Wendy is very strong, but that's not the case. Although Wendy is good at dealing with hordes of enemies, she is relatively weak against bosses, and Abigail is unable to help Wendy in most boss fights, at this time Wendy is only a character with a 0.75 attack multiplier, a higher health Wes. On the other hand, Wendy is indeed stronger than most characters on the Ornery Beefalo, but once faced with an enemy with a knockout, Ornery Beefalo is likely to die if he is knocked away, and Wendy is more vulnerable than most characters. Unfortunately, enemies that can be knocked out are usually very strong, and with the Rift enabled, Ornery Beefalo is very vulnerable to enemies with Planar Entity. Maybe Wendy was strong before 2023, but now Wendy and Ornery Beefalo are behind most of the characters. In this case, Wendy's skill tree will push Wendy into the abyss. With that in mind, I'd like to ask for a revisit to some of the characters represented by Wendy and their skill trees. This is a small wish of mine. I wish Don't Starve Together gets better and better. Thank you for your willingness to read my feedback. I wish you all the best in your work.
