I've tested the slingshot in the beta and so far, the slingshot still feels like there's room for improvement. And the main problem has to do with the FIRE RATE. I suggest just tuning the two grip upgrades he has a more because both the handle feel so negligible, like the Howlitzer and Gloomerang still outperforms the slingshot with the void handle, his supposed endgame upgrade. As for the Buff idea, Why not make it so that Walter's damage slowly builds up overtime and then resets when he fights a different enemy (similar to the shadow reaper) . You can chalk this up as Walter slowly becoming more focused and aiming on the enemies' weak spots. This ensures that bossfights dont take TOO long and drain even more resource compared to just fighting them normally with a melee weapon. Because I feel like this feels more creative and fun than just outright increasing the damage of the rounds. TLDR Beta feedback: Walter's fire rate upgrade leaves more to be desired, and the endgame upgrade is outperformed by the Gloomerang and Owlitzer. Sacco Posted November 22, 2024 Share Posted November 22, 2024 Yea, walter's firing speed feels a bit slow even with his slingshot upgrades. I think the first upgrade should give you the same attack boost as the void one, and the void upgrade even more than now. The real problem with his skills is that he can craft 6 new pellets which are almost all identical to other pellets (poor vortex rounds...) And woby's badges seem a bit slow to upgrade. Gashzer Posted November 22, 2024 Share Posted November 22, 2024 I dunno... the ink/honey rounds make it so no mob can come near you. And we can slot infinite ammo into the late game scrappy frame. I think fire-rate doesn't need buffed. What does need buffed is woby and all related skills.
