Kacpert25
In the latest beta, Imbued Frostboar's melee attack has been changed from one roll to two with a bounce. This was probably introduced to distinguish it more from the regular Frostboar. With that said, I wanted to ask if Imbued Ribbat could also get some changes? Since it has been removed, imposing the confused status on the player is no different from regular Ribbat. And since then, no other properties have been introduced to it instead of imposing a confused status, thus allowing it to be the only Imbued Rot that is no different from its base version. Therefore, it would be useful to add something unique to it. For example, his tongue attack could be longer and push the player away strongly. (The pushed player is further away, so the Imbued Ribbat has more time to eat the stolen teffra) However, a full Imbued Ribbat could have an attack in which it would hit the ground with its entire body (something like Shell Drake when it floats above the ground). That's all I wanted to say in this post. I hope this little winged frog gets some love soon. Anxiattack
Those are some solid ideas right there! Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/160720-imbued-ribbat-discussion/#findComment-1757594 Share on other sites

I actually asked them exactly that (about the elite ribbat) on their last stream and they mentioned how eventually they will take the time to look at older mobs, armor and other things that need a tune up eventually which was very nice to hear. 4 hours ago, Kacpert25 said: Therefore, it would be useful to add something unique to it. I do like this idea a lot, but I also think the Elite Ribbat (in its hungry form) should get a secondary attack besides its lick attack. Even when the Elite Ribbat had its confuse attack it didn't feel that different due to the effect being applied only on hit, and the ribbats lick attack becomes very easy to dodge once you know its coming (even easier now that the ribbat has a short delay before it uses its attack) Some ideas I've had for the secondary attack could be Elite ribbat uses its short wings to create a short gust of wind in a horizontal direction in front of it when the player is far away from the elite ribbat. This would fit in with the theme of wind in nocturnal grove being a threat and lets the elite ribbat push the player into other ribbats and mobs in the area. Elite ribbat does a jumping attack which it leaps over the player and follows up by quickly attacking. Ribbats are slow and take a while to reach their target, and by the time they reach their target they are usually too far away to meaningfully attack. Giving them a jumping attack would help them gain ground and bypass the wind that is blowing them in the other direction. (Frogs love to jump) 4 hours ago, Kacpert25 said: However, a full Imbued Ribbat could have an attack in which it would hit the ground with its entire body (something like Shell Drake when it floats above the ground). I believe someone shared that within the files the Ribbat has a "two hands ground slam attack" animation when its flying in the air, similar to what you said. I would love if this attack could be integrated as a combo after the Elite ribbats double slash attack in air.
