mitboy
There needs to be "Top priority" priority that doesnt not cause visual and the sound of yellow alert. There are a few cases where Yellow alert is really nice for building something important or for other singular tasks, but then there are a few buildings which maintance you might also want to run as a top priority, such may be some very important crop or emptying desalinator or supplying drill cone, without the yellow screen and alert sound. c-lipka
I agree with the OP in that there's a problem that needs addressing. I'd suggest to go a different route though: Rather than introducing a dedicated new priority level, I think the behavior of the "Yellow Altert" should be changed. Specifically, when any thingumabob is set to "yellow alert", it should cause the "yellow alert" status WHENEVER - but ONLY WHEN - that thingumabob actually has some actual errand associated. E.g. setting a Hamster Wheel Manual Generator to "!!" priority should cause the "yellow alert" status when the associated batteries run low, and the "yellow alert" status should be lifted as soon as the associated batteries are successfully replenished (unless of course there's another "yellow alert" going on somewhere). And a toggle-able building such as a manual door set to "!!" priority should cause a "yellow alert" status whenever . but only as long as - there is actually something to toggle. (Also, a thingumabob set to "!!" priority should of course only show a red "!!" bubble while it is actively sustaining a "yellow alert".) Interestingly enough, there are a few buildings that already kind of behave this way: When manually enabling or disabling an Oygen Mask or Atmo Suit Checkpoint, you can set its priority to "!!" and it will cause a "yellow alert" until the checkpoint has actually been toggled by a dupe, and then the "yellow alert" will automatically clear. The next time you enable/disable that checkpoint, the priority will still be set to "!!", and the "yellow alert" raised again (but in contrast to e.g. manual doors you can't change or even see the priority when there's nothing to toggle).
