Kacpert25
So since the main problem of the beta, which was the unbalanced Imbued Mother Treek, has been solved, I would like to share various smaller ideas/changes that could be introduced to the game. Some are related to beta content and others are related to the rest of the game. Scramblers and Imbued Scramblers: Currently, Imbued Scramblers only appear during the fight with Shell Drake due to the fact that outside of it, Scramblers do not respawn individually in regular rooms and therefore have no chance of being imbued. However, there are rooms with a lot of single Scramblers that activate when the player gets close enough to them. Therefore, I propose that some of these eggs could turn out to be Imbued Scramblers after their activation. For example, the player approaches such an egg and it partially hatches, turning into an Imbued Scrambler, which then attacks the player. Additionally, some of these eggs could turn out to be empty. This would definitely introduce more variety in these rooms, because currently, once you know that Scramblers are activated from eggs, they become very predictable, and so the player would have 3 options. Empty Egg, Regular Scrambler and Imbued Scrambler. Timer Room: While running in Splintershard Cavern, I managed to come across a special room where I had to survive for 40 seconds, during which a given type of enemy kept respawning. In that case it was a whole lot of Cottonhail. In any case, this type of room is a really interesting variation on the run and I would love to see this idea developed. Timer Rooms could, for example, have their own room designation and have different rewards depending on the type of opponent. For example: - A Timer Room with a weak opponent (Beet/Bulbin) would contain rewards in the form of low-level power and a small amount of teffra, - A Timer Room with a stronger enemy type (Rillo/Zucco) would contain rewards in the form of low-level power, more teffra, and a few pieces of basic resources, - A Timer Room with a strong enemy type (Yammo) would contain rewards in the form of high-level power, lots of teffra, resources, and maybe even ingots, Current Loot Chest Segregation: I won't lie that I preferred the earlier way of segregating resources, where they were divided into the biomes they came from. I understand why it was changed in this beta, but they could be sorted somehow better than they are now, where they are completely out of order and composition. They're not even sorted alphabetically. Therefore, they could use some better segregation, for example from the lowest resource class, such as Great Rotwood Forest Twigs, to the highest class, such as Imbued Mother Treek Heartstone. Long Arm of the Claw: I think it would be useful to have a buff for this spear skill, because in my opinion it is not very useful. The spear could, for example, deal damage to opponents when sticking it into the ground and have a similar effect to the bow's bullseye, i.e. if the spear is stuck centrally into the opponent, it will deal a light attack and stun him. The Jackalope: Jackalope still doesn't have an upgradeable ability yet, so I want to offer my idea of what ability it could have. So the jackalope's bounce speed could increase until the end of the run if it bounced 5 times between opponents. The maximum increase in rebound speed could be 100% and would increase as follows (25% > 50% > 100%). However, the percentage by which the jackalope's bounce speed would increase could be a maximum of 3% for every fifth bounce between opponents, and would increase (1% > 2% > 3%). Weight Class Powers: The current weight class powers are pointless, or at least very, very, very situational. Because who wants to change their weight class when using, for example, snourtoise armor or any cannon? These powers are only useful when doing a biomes on Frenzy 3 without armor, when you prefer to have a Balance Class instead of an Agile Class. In my opinion, these powers would be much more useful if they gave some bonuses when taking powers with the same weight class as currently used. For example Power Class would give 5% damage reduction when taken with a Power Class character. Power on Agile Class would perhaps give greater speed or faster dodge, and Power on Balance Claas may have a greater chance on critical hit. Summon Powers: In this beta, the electricity and shield powers have been brilliantly developed with new powers working with them, and I really like the fact that by selecting a given type of power, other powers are unlocked, allowing us to develop the build we are going for in a given run. Therefore, it would be useful if the powers related to summons, such as charming opponents, were also enriched with new possibilities thanks to new powers. I can't give an example of a theoretical power that could be used for this type of power, but I believe in you, Klei, that you will definitely come up with something to diversify the powers of summons :). Stone Throw Skill: This skill is absolutely useless. According to the description, the stone's damage is supposed to scale with the weapon's damage, but it doesn't. Beats constant amounts of damage around 20 points. You can't even charge this throw to make it hit harder. Is it possible to improve this skill? One more thing about purchasing skills. Can we expect more special skills to be purchased in the shop in the future? Because currently there are about 3 of them, which is an extremely small number compared to the amount of powers. Greater Variety of Potions: At this point, I just wanted to write that if more types of potions are added, I would like to see the possibility of purchasing a potion with the effect of the new power from the beta, i.e. it heals 250 hp, but adds 250 maximum health. ????: And finally, the last, quite abstract, but also interesting proposition. For context, the Splintershard Cavern room with ???? They are quite big, so big that you could fight in them. And on that note, the first time I was in that room and saw ???? standing in the middle of it, that was my first thought "Will I have to fight him?" Well, I didn't have to, but then the thought occurred to me that it would be very interesting if sometimes he sent opponents to fight us in exchange for a reward or, if you had to fight with ???? himself, who would be a mini boss, from which we would get various things, such as a free power upgrade, potion refill, 1 power of any kind, etc.. So that's all I wanted to share in this post. I hope one of the ideas will be considered to be added.
