Can we enjoy the benefits of the SeamlessTravel in the future?

Recommended Posts

I think the client side of the game spends too much time switching worlds when I want to go to the Forest or Cave.
This is not very friendly for me who needs to go to and from the base frequently through cave entrance and cave exit. Even the client and server is running in ssd on my pc, the loading time is enough for me to swipe two short videos on the TikTok:wilson_angelic:

Can we add experimental functionality in the future to not destroy inactive world blocks when switching worlds?

If the code coupling between the forest and the cave is not high, I think it is also a good idea to keep both world objects in memory at the same time, because it still has a lot of spare space.

may be the unbearable loading process of wanda can be turned into a flash of white light and has successfully gone to another world.

Thanks u for your patience.:yaypigs:

They are loaded in memory, however switching between the two servers (one shard for forest, second for caves) takes some time. I agree faster loading times would be really nice though.

i hope something is done, so that something like dont starve alone mod is vanilla (the mod makes switching between shards so little time, and also no input delay, unfortunately has the downside of not allowing cave/surface rift to work normally when youre on the other shard)
