Yeah, they catch you off guard, but they do such paltry damage that they don't really pose a threat even then. They also drop a lot of Pure Horror, which is really valuable, and only obtainable from much tougher enemies than it. I think they should have a lunge like a Spider Warrior, moving faster than one but with a delay. If they hit you, then they jump onto your head like a Slurper and deal continuous damage. This would also knock off your current headwear, but unlike a Slurper, they would take a few seconds before getting off. If you're with friends, maybe they can attack it to force it off your head as well?
