I don't want them to do a Wurt skill tree, where they add all these random craftables, tools and weird gimmicks that make the character feel overbloated and overwhelming. I'd rather them do it like a Wormwood skilltree i think? My ideas are still a hell of alot better than UM and any other ideas I've seen for Walter on the forums. You want skills that fit your playstyle of taming an ornery beefalo for Walter. Which is an absolute insult to Walters lore and design to play that way, hes the only character with a unique mount and you don't even use her?? Ill be very shocked if Klei don't buff big woby alot, giving her irreplaceable strengths that a beefalo cant match. Also tracking skills is 100% sure at this point anyway, they even have a short which showing Walter and Woby tracking pig footprints. I'm not here to debate that but the jerky drying faster skill for Walter is quite litterally one of the skill they gave him. If I'm being real I use Woby because I don't really focus on playing optimally most of the time it's also why I use his slingshot despite it being bad but that aside it's not that I don't want Walter to use Woby it's that I can't think up a way that makes Woby more valuable than a beefalo and I don't think it's fair to throw it on Klei's shoulders and expect them to fix this when we can't. Look I don't hate the idea of tracking but the question I'll ask again is what is he going to gain from it? If it's meat from hunts you don't need a skill for that. It feels like it's just a flavor idea which is fine I guess but I assumed Walter needed a skill tree that helped him as a character not to just add more flavor perks as it's like giving Wilson a new skill where he gains 5 sanity everytime he creates a science related recipe like sure it fits but...
