Woby Skins pls

Recommended Posts

The bee one, he can be dressed as a bumble bee. The merry maker, a reindeer with a present instead of a back pack. In the Sneaky Bush skin, Woby will have a bush disguise like the portrait frame.

And finally, the Smug Triaumphant skin he would be a smug dog.

But, thats a lot of art and stuff. Sell them seperately and make the Walter bundles cost more.

Im hoping to god they drop a buttload of woby skins alongside the Walter skilltree.

There's not a mad amount of Walter mains, but we are a loyal and dedicated bunch so Klei will make money out of us.

Bought that big skin pack just because of the one new bernie skin in it (maybe the dreadstone armour skins too hehe), been asking for more bernie skins for ages so I'm gonna encourage klei to make skins for what I ask for with money.

Please klei make it easy for me to give you money, gimme all the woby skins.

Ps. Pinecone pioneer hat needs buffed with 50% water resist, lightning resist and both tier 2 winter/summer insulation, make it a jack of all trades weather insulation to compete with other head armour or head clothing... the reduced sanity loss just isn't competitive enough with all the strong head gear we have these days.

i think the sheer length of time it took to get another bernie is telling to how expensive a woby skin would be. that is a LOT of parts for a character people don't use that often. walter seems to only be a middling character for how often i see him used so his mount needing lots of care to get skin alts seems like it would be something klei would rather avoid

Walter's one of the few characters that I never play, but I'd still like to see this. If Wendy gets an Abigail skin for almost every skin she has, why doesn't Walter get anything for his companion?

abi's skin is way simpler, most of the body is identical and there are only a couple animations that change how her flower looks, also she is in the top three(of 18, mind) characters in the game. between the comparative ease and the many thousands more people playing wendy it makes sense abi gets lots of love. it is also why wig's kit gets so much love

That's true, but I feel like, once all the skill tree updates are out, we ought to see less of a skew in the playerbase towards a select few characters. In Klei servers, we're already seeing more Woodies, Winonas, and Wormwoods than we ever did before.

my job is making pixel art and before covid i worked on several single-creator indie games(very few were ever published anywhere but that is the nature of making games for oneself) and the knowledge of the amount of work needed for even simple things is a smooth-carved hole in my very being so i will probably never change my mind but that being said the part of me that is starry-eyed and hopeful really wants this to be true<3

ok, woby skins, pretty please<3

don't forget his outfits include a hat. you cannot get -too- wild with the part that goes under the hat and have it still look good

Yes you can get very wild, have you seen the newest Maxwell?... That don't even make any sense, every character use hats, if his skins are hats then just buy the hats not the skins, as they are cheaper spool wise

stop. before you get it in a twist i am not saying no character can have wild hair. i am saying walter's outfits are purposely designed to be worn with a hat. specifically the hat that was made for him for that outfit. for the full complete design to be coherent and aesthetically matched the character's hair should not be made in a way that discourages or invalidates wearing the matching hat. this is a very basic beginner understanding of fashion. walter wears a hat at all times(canonically and if the player chooses to in-game). his mechanics are set up in a way that makes him wearing his hat a natural and expected part of play so the outfits he gets are made with the hat in mind.

is his head skin a bit boring without the hat? yeah. is he expected to not wear the hat that was custom-made for him and comes with the skin pack? no. is it a bit dishonest to omit the hat when it is part of his head design? yeah, kinda is.

All the faces and all the hair are exactly the same, it's a stretch to say that they are designed to be that way, literally buy the hat and use it on Walter Base and you will have the same effect, very dishonest of me!

For 1350 spools I can have a curl on his forehead, what a deal

can't help you with disappointment i can only explain why the hair is the way it is. i personally think he is super cute in all but one of his iterations(you know the one, klei *shudders*)

You could help by starting with your tone instead, since the only thing you've done is call me dishonest, say I'm distorting, and now act like I don't understand something very complex about his design.

Wigfrid's skins are designed with her wearing a helm and even she looks more interesting than walter's.

yes but generally only the bottom of her hair. the space above the ears is still fairly subdued in most of her skins so as not to conflict too much. like walter she sometimes has bangs sometimes not but the crown is accommodating to the hat

unfortunately i think that is not really helpful though since as a woman and an actor she is given more grace for the part of her hair that is creative. walter is a young boy which is a bit more limiting since very short hair is expected
