A little rant on Walter's skins

I've been looking forward to roseate Walter since the accidental leak and I was really excited to seeing the final product
I impulsively bought it without even looking at the skin as I've saved up spools for it (and to be fair I want to get all of his skins for the sake of completion anyway) and I was a bit underwhelmed. It's not a bad skin by any means and I will use it but I just feel like there could've been a bit more done that would've elevated the skin by a lot.
Walter gets made fun of for basically everything about him but one of those things is an argument that Walter's skins are too samey, and while I do not think that this is true nor do I agree that this is laziness from Klei in any way I do feel like Walter's skins could really use some more touch ups when it comes to the face and head.
Walter's skins are designed with his Pinetree pioneer hat in mind (rightfully so) since it's one of his starting items. And while this is a big reason why I heavily disagree with Walter's skins being "lazy" I really do think that this doesn't stop the fact that Walter's head skins look way too similar, this leads to skins basically looking the same with default as they would with the actual full skin.

This is a bummer for me with Walter's roseate skin because I was really hoping that they would lean into the rose aspect and I was really hoping that he'd have roses and brambles all over his hair (Maxwell's swashbuckler skin has roses on the mustache), or a rose on his ear or something that would distinguish the head from other head skins. This is a pretty common issue that Walter has with a decent chunk of his skins.

Why is this an issue? It's because the pinetree pioneer hat isnt really a great item to permanently replace your head slot, if replace it at all. And there should be a balance between Walter himself and his outfit so that he's not so reliant on it to stand out like any other character who will have (significant) expression changes, accessories, completely different hair colors, which Walter tends to (not always, but in a fair amount of his skins) kind of completely lack...

(PS I also feel like Roseate Walter's forehead looks a bit unnatural... Wearing a hat fixes this but the way the forehead starts to taper off looks unnatural in my opinion)
