Do any of you use tentapillars for transport?

i use them as wormholes pretty frequently. As most characters i would just use spiky hutch to dispatch them within a few seconds which already makes them worth it a lot of the time. Another thing is how new updates keep giving certain characters new ways to destroy them even faster, like elding spear, lunar fire, portable catapult, along with older methods like abigail and bramble husk.

So worst case scenario i just kill a 450 health mob and maybe lose about 6 health in the process, and with a lot of characters i would lose even less than that. I think that even if they arnt perfect, the wormhole functionality does serve a good purpose if youre willing to give it a chance instead of immediately giving up and calling it useless.

If it is in a good location, yes.

But much like Wormholes, more often than not they are too close together to be useful for transport.
