The op nature of the burrow storage

Recommended Posts

Think about it, a 3 use enderchest similar to Maxwell's chest you can use ANY TIME, ANYWHERE.

And all it costs is a few carrots and one reed...

AND its ridiculously earlygame.

now compare it to:

carrot armor, which makes bunnymen follow you for some silly reason.

a bunny hat, which makes rabbits friendly.

Can't say I really see the problem with the item, storage does factor into a players decision making across the board but with the item having low uses, you do have to at the very least make some sort of conscious effort to make sure you are not wasting it. A maxwell hat with 3 durability and anyone can use it, not to mention being separate from shadow storage via max hat/shadow chester or other character specific means of carrying stuff, is quite a boon.

My only issue with the item is I would like for the item to have some sort of progression oriented growth, something like an ability to upgrade it as you go through out the game, not so much as like a literal elasta-whatever it is that wagstaff gives you to expand chest storage but rather something for durability or interactions with certain things in the world.

Since the horn only have 3 uses and you require to know where's the swamp is in the first place and then get the reeds there's 2 outcomes to this:

  • You found Swamp next to the spawn in a lucky shot.

  • Or you spend 12-16 days looking for the Swamp or DF desert for tumble weeds.

The true is you can also find Chester just exploring even before the swamp or desert, so both are just RNG.

Is just another chance to extend the inventory while you’re still exploring and gathering resources I do believe.

The only thing kinda amusing me is, why a rabbit? I just idk.

it has the difference of mobs not being able to kill your storage

If you are not keeping our precious boy chester safe, you might need to start reevaluating your decisions, plop'n chesters eye bone (or the ol star sky) down in a safe spot isn't too tough.
