Suggestions after the Rhymes with Play Dev Cast

I won't be giving any strong opinion on what was shown, since we don't even have the beta to test more.

Cave Bridges:

  • I think that I will  want it for any stucture added related to the caves, but I'd love to get stone and dreadstone bridges;
  • They could get an "arch" on their entrances to resemble a tunnel.

Big Depths Worm (Is it a CoTL reference?!?!):

  • It is a little bit too big and too destructive to be in the Depths Worms waves, so here's my suggestion:
    • Have "smaller" variants that don't destroy actual structures (but will uproot things) and will try to eat things and you in the same way as the current one. (so they "teach" you on how to fight the bigger version);
    • And have a Boss version that drops some greater loot, random junk, thulecite items and a even bigger glow berry. (maybe we could summon it with some sort of lure like monster lasagna or that lunar-mushroom-meat recipe).

 

Atrium localization/void walk removal:

  • With the removal of the void walk, we end up going back to the gamble of having an atrium near some "cave shore" or to kill every tentacle that we can find.
    • My suggestion: when we have the Shadow atrium (that got two new crafts this beta) in our inventory, It will faintly beat as we get closer to the tentacle that leads to the Atrium, and that beat will get more audible as you get insane (as well as completely stop when you are "lunatic").

 

Small touch ups on the caves generation:

  • I'd love if the team took more time to look at how the cave generates, especially on how some biomes connect to each other, so we don't have as much "weird" barren paths that only are there to ensure that the ruins are connected to somewhere.

 

New Shadow creatures (mainly the mimic and the ball of tar):

  • I feel like their color palette don't fit as well into either the planar shadow monsters (black/red) nor the normal shadow monsters (shadow/shadow²) since they appear to be more black and grey (even if we disconsider the bones in the blob guy).

 

New rabbit king:

  • He looks a bit out of place compared to the normal rabbits, I think that changing the his horns and his coats to be more in line with the rabbits and their variations(normal/snow/insane) would be really appreciated.

 

New tools:

  • From what I've seen, they all look great, I still want to test the shadow boomerang to see if it does something more than damage and the axe looks cool, I want to see if it interacts with the scythe (if they will talk to each other when two players meet).
  • If we still have time in this beta, add a three-in-one void version of the traps (bug net/grass trap/ bird trap). Just a big bug net with more range/durability will be more than enough!

This is a pretty good solution to be fair is like the amulet for AG works even the same cus you don't remove the "find all the tentacles". Maybe a visual should be added to improve it but is a solution a good one

Maybe remove the bones and add some sort of electricity similar to shadow merms.
