Sturm58 Posted August 15, 2024 Share Posted August 15, 2024 Hi, I am playing the Frosty Planet DLC and I was hoping, that Shine Bugs can be used for Bonbon tree farming. I was hoping, that perhaps with evolving Shine Bugs up to Radiant Bugs I will get more lumens but no. There is no difference in light range or intensity. Honestly, is there any use for Shine Bugs and in evolving them? There are so many better ways to get light. The uncompelling cases are to get a different diet, like you might prefer to feed them BBQ, but even then Shine Bugs are starvation-friendly. And Abyss Bugs of course don't produce light so are useful as pure decor bombs, but that's not exactly compelling either. The Shine Bug morphs are essentially ONI's equivalent of Butterflies, they're just to look good to the player if you're into that sort of thing.
