Out of curiosity, which survivors do you think have had the best and Worst record with skins?

Personally, my top 3 are:

  • Wurt - I'm generally not a huge fan of skins that struggle to mix and match, but Wurt has a 100% success rate of skins, and they're all so vibrant and colorful. Standouts include merrymaker, roseate, Victorian, Hallowed nights & Masquerade.
  • Wendy - It might be because I'm not the biggest fan of how Wendy's vanilla skin looks in game, but basically all of her skins are substantial upgrades over Vanilla. The only one I don't like is merrymaker, which gives her an excessively large forehead, and the body of the lureplant (but that's a recurring issue with costumes, and the hair is better than most survivors. Standouts include verdant, Moonbound, Roseate, Victorian and Survivor.
  • Wickerbottom - Despite two duds in Merrymaker and  Guest of honour, Wickerbottom has a pretty phenomenal selection of skins. Much like Wendy, her costume skin pulls of the Volt goat look, a feat not many survivors can claim, while carrying an incredibly unique air that not many other survivors keep consistently.  Standouts are verdant, magmatic, snowfallen, costume and Nom de Plume.

Maxwell probably almost makes top 3,but his cooler heads, like Krampus, Dark Wizard and Gladiator, don't mesh well with other skins. Magmatic's cool too.

Bottom 3 would be:

  • Webber - you know how I mentioned i'm not a fan of skins that struggle to mix and match? That's Webber. Admittedly it's only like 1/2 of his skins, and Merrymaker & Farmspider are pretty cool, but there's a second, much larger problem. For the record, I think all survivors should have a couple of skins that flip the vibe of the base character for people who aren't fans of it - I only like woodies design in his more polished skins. Skins like Maxwell's untriumphant, Wendy & WX's Verdant, etc are important. That said why does Webber have 6 SKIN SETS that have the gimmick of "I'm Mean Now!" Sure it makes sense for triumphant and Verdant. Arguably gladiator. But he did not need the contender, costume or especially victorian to be that way. Webber's whole thing is how nice he is, but apparently he needs to be angry in  nearly 1/2 his skins.
  • Winona - while two of her most recent skin sets, archaic and swasbuckler, work for me, the rest feel pretty generic. I think my issue is that most of her costumes are incredibly plain. That, combined with not vibing with most of her hairstyles, makes her one of the overall weakest survivor's in terms of skins.
  • Woodie - Honestly struggled to come up with a #3 I was satisfied with, but Woodie's head's are so painfully derivative. Magmatic and Roseate look identical save for the scar, Triumphant and Vanilla are so similar I thought they WERE identical, snowfallen is just Merrymaker in grey, etc. To be clear, he has far better options than the first two, I love the verdant, swashbuckler, masquerader, and victorian, but so many of his heads are just painfully generic.

my answer is based on how usable a body skin for any survivour + how good a head skin is for the character is which makes it a close tie between willow and wendy. klei really did go all out on a bunch of these skins and those two have some bangers. if i was not considering whether or not any other survivor can wear the skin it would be wormwood or winona since they have amazing sets when worn with their respective heads

i am gonna abstain from my feelings on who is the worst since i respect my time and both of them have super-fans in this forum x''D

Based on popular demand, third question to the poll has been added in which Wormwood lives up to his title and is excluded.

i love that but also i can't vote since i already voted before you amended it

In all seriousness though,

I think the characters with consistently good skins are: Wilson, Willow, Wendy, Wormwood.
Wickerbottom, Maxwell, Wigfrid, Webber, Winona, Wortox, and Wurt have some very good skins and some stinkers.
I really, really, really do not like Wolfgang's skins.
I don't have much to say about WX-78, Woodie, Wes, Warly, Walter, and Wanda, they're not particularly interesting to me.

I think Wurt has the single best skin (Victorian) but getting a matching outfit for it is tough. And I don't like a lot of her other skins.

As a Wurt main, I don't like any of Wurt's skins because they almost all break roleplay of being a Princess of the Merms. I would love some skins that change her appearance but still allow her to look like a merm to some degree. I'm a big fan of her Archaic skin for this reason.

The Victorian skin is phenomenal as a lore addition and does fit roleplay somewhat as well. I wish I could have matching skins for my merms however.

Pretty much my exact thoughts. Didn't use any skins on her till Victorian, then just used victorian till the archaic came out.
