yvvt0379
It's already July now, but DST Midsummer Cawnival 2024 hasn't hold yet. Did the dev team forgot this? Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/158277-midsummer-cawnival/ Share on other sites

We’re only getting content updates every 3-4 months now, so there’s not going to just “Be” any of the annual holiday themed updates anymore. If you want my personal opinion on that I’d say that Klei bit off a little more then they could chew when they promised the Cawnival was going to be added in as a Yearly Annual event. This isn’t the first year that the Cawnival was forgotten about, so they may as well just push it aside as discontinued content. But that also means that their new 3-4 months apart update schedule has to either line up with Year of The, Hallowed Nights & WintersFeast, or those events have to become ignored too! The next content update will likely be in October since we just got one the other day, that means it’ll either have to include hallowed nights AND WintersFeast themed updates- OR they’ll have to prioritize (most likely WF) and completely skip any new updates for HN. TL:DR- don’t expect a Cawnival update this year. Mike23Ua
3-4 months between updates means the next update is DEFIANTLY in October, then we have November, December & January for no update, Followed by Year of the (snake?) as the next content update after that in February 2025. If Klei needed a slower content release schedule I understand that but it does make annual yearly events like the Cawnival, HN, WF & Year Of more complicated or obsolete. Klei stopped doing big updates for HN & WF a year or so back though so they could shift focus on more meaty content updates instead, so even those have been pushed aside. I say since there hasn’t been any new significant content added to the Cawnival in years that they should say the Cawnival officially went out of business and Corvus had to close up shop. Pretty sure the updates are basically the same amount of content as previous years but put into a more coherent chunk. I also beleive klei stated this in a roadmap (I'm too lazy to check) that this doesn't change how much they are working on dst. Oh no you misunderstand, I didn’t say that it was less content (aside from them choosing not to do content updates for holiday events WF & HN) I just meant that if they’re going to do a Year of Content update- It can’t release in late May.. So there has to be at least a tiny bit of planning ahead, between their time NOT releasing updates, and the release of the Update, so that the dates line up with the holiday event (in this case The next holiday events are HN/WF/Year Of.) Since it appears the Cawnival was forgotten.
