W.A.R.B.I.S Set should be dropped by Scrappy Werepig (pre rift)

Recommended Posts

It’s already been talked about that the W.A.R.B.I.S armor set is mostly for Console players that have trouble with swapping from their weapon to their cane. If this is the case, why make it hard for them to get an armor set which makes things easier for them behind one of the hardest boss fights in the game?

Looking at the shadow equivalent to this set, the Dreadstone Armor set, you could argue that the Dreadstone set is more suited to Defense, while the W.A.R.B.I.S set is more suited for offense, and yet, there is no reason to use the latter once you have it, as by that point, you already have the Rift Armors and Weapons. So here is my proposal:

The W.A.R.B.I.S Armor blueprints are dropped by Scrappy Werepig pre-rift, and no longer require a Crown Shard in order to craft. This would put it about in the same place of progression as the Dreadstone set, while also giving it a bit more usefulness in a playthrough, and give the player more incentive to fight Scrappy Werepig.

Nightmare Werepig already drops his respective shadow side armor set, so why doesn’t Scrappy Werepig do the same? He also already drops the Auto-mat-o-chanic for repairing W.O.B.O.T, so we could just fight him again if we need to repair the armor. Or better yet, make him drop the blueprint for it, so that it’s more reasonably time efficient to use W.O.B.O.T

This would also make the Rift enemies much easier, as now you have a damage increase to cope with the Planar Defense the rift mobs have.

I know the DST devs don’t read the suggestion forums anymore, but I really hope this one gets through.

Thanks for Reading!

Instead of crown shards it could cost a bunch of gears so we have an use for them

And instead of a damage boost based on percentage that only benefits the characters for which all the planar mechanics were added, it can add a flat damage boost like 5 damage per stage so would be interesting for every character

Yeah! That would allow Wolfgang to make use of his Planar Damage Increase skills earlier, too!
