Tigin Posted July 1, 2024 Share Posted July 1, 2024 I agree as its petrol brothers (naptha, crude oil, petroleum) has a lower freezing point and it's weird a supposed space material freezes so easily. (I too froze my bammoth ranch when I was initially using viscogel for the drowning chamber) I actually think viscogel should be a perfect insulator, but that's probably a more contentious opinion. But I completely agree that its freezing point should be dropped. I don't know about it needing to be a better insulator, given how trivial it is in most instances to create vacuum locks out of it. Viscogel as an insulator would enable 1 tile wide doorways.
