The freezing point of visco gel should be lowered

Recommended Posts

I agree as its petrol brothers (naptha, crude oil, petroleum) has a lower freezing point and it's weird a supposed space material freezes so easily. (I too froze my bammoth ranch when I was initially using viscogel for the drowning chamber) I actually think viscogel should be a perfect insulator, but that's probably a more contentious opinion.

I for one totally agree that viscogel should be a better insulator

It sort of makes sense...visco gel's freezing point is in between the freezing points of its ingredients...

But I completely agree that its freezing point should be dropped. I don't know about it needing to be a better insulator, given how trivial it is in most instances to create vacuum locks out of it. That said, a newer, later game material that is a perfectly insulated liquid would be a fun vanity project

freezing point of water is nowhere close to freezing points of hydrogen or oxygen, I would say ingridients should not affect properties of the final product

Traditional vacuum locks are 3 tiles wide, minimum. Viscogel as an insulator would enable 1 tile wide doorways. Opens up builds a bit
